Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
the K should be different enough so that we do not violate copyright. But if someone identified the K in K-Zone with Killington that would be a good thing. Does that help clarify?
So many great entries; Judging is going to be difficult. This has been our first experience with LogoTournament.com and, quite frankly, we are blown away with the quality of work and the number of submissions. Especially in the last hours of the contest. Thank you to all the designers. I just wanted to let you know, that because of the 4th of July Holiday and vacations, the 3 K-Zone partners will not be able to meet in person for a few days. We will likely select our winner towards the end of the Judging period.
Dear CH, if this is your first time using this site could you please spare a minute to read this post: https://logotournament.com/forum/general_discussion/914 even if you have used the site before i would definitely recommend reading it as it contains some important info that I'm sure you will find very helpful. thanks!
JR2, thank you for the info. This isn't our first contest. Our three partners have been away this week and thus have't been able to get together until now.
We needed to Extend the Judging because our partners have not been able to meet to discuss the submissions until tonight and we have narrowed to the top 10 but we have some minor change requests for the leaders. Thank you to all.
Just some friendly feedback from a branding specialist.
Consider entry #63 but a different color option if you are targeting a youthful market. It has a uniqueness and fun feeling (and no, I am not associated with the designer at all). Currently your top pick #59 already looks dated to the 1990's and the poor photoshop bevel effects will not translate to a small size with our reducing readability. Although if converted to a one/two color logo with no blur or armature effects, it could definitely work.
Thank you for the feedback. We really have about 4 or 5 top picks right now. We thought we were extending the judging period and thus thought only the first place design could submit revisions. We had ask that the designer of #59 rovide some alternatives to make the K stand out more. Somehow the whole contest was extended and not just the judging. As you can see we are now asking for minor revisions to #175.
I stopped entering because there is no concept of feedback here. My designs were only in the beginning phases (like sketches), but no feedback and no response to these posts either. I feel somewhat ignored here. How many other designers and design possibilities did you lose do to the fact that you will not simply give feedback and ignore posts that are asking for it!
Have to agree with Eightball there. I find there are really good concepts on the bottom of the list tagged "New/Unranked" (my concepts left aside), and some horribly simple text only logos on the top spots. Would definitely have submitted more ideas if I had gotten some feedback on current submissions.
Hi Robbert and Eightball, Sorry we haven't been able to provide individual feedback on all 250 submissions. Last week we gathered our partners together and had to narrow the field and focus on refining the designs concepts that were in the top 10. I'm new to LT but I thought by putting many designs in the Not Interested columns and ranking other designs, that was one way of provide broad feedback of what our group was looking for. I may be wrong about this also but I thought only the top 11 designs received place points and a shortlist ribbon. If that's correct than it is just to time consuming to continue to rank every design that is submitted. If every ranked design does get shortlist ribbons and points we'll take the extra time because there obviously has been a lot of great effort by all the designers. In the end we have to choose one.
SpeedLogo: the CH is right, this information should be easy to find for CHs. You should somehow simplify and implement that text on the page where contest holders can rank the designs. That way the designers don't have to repeat that text on each contest they enter.
