#13: Thank you but this doesn't fit the image we are looking to convey. It doesn't feel quite professional enough.

#66 is more simple but refined with the handshake in the N.. (or about to handshake)..

#66: that is interesting and I had never thought of that. I'm not sure I like the coloring but the concept of hte handshake being there is pretty innovative. Let me see what some of my other team thinks.

#249 I've done the logo in a more vibrant way to ephasis on the personalities or people aspect of networking, also I've styled the text and really made JNR look ledgible but also made it so that it does not read as being a network of juniors. more just connecting people who fit in with these people or networks etc..

#248:I I like the color choice here and the color gradient. I like the idea of hte logo but I'm not quite sure it works. I'll look for some other input from people that I have helping me.

Thank you for your submission...we are in the Top 5 phase!

I really like the coloring and gradients used in #248 but the graphic just doesn't seem to stand out as much as I'd like. Can we try to see if we can do something with it to make the hands a bit more obvious? Another idea I have that may not work is to rotate the graphic 45 degrees counterclockwise.

Also, I'd prefer the graphic to be to the left of the text.

Hi Riley,

thanks, I'm stoked you like the design, I've given the solution to your problem to the best of my ability - 25+ years working as a graphic designer. However, one minor adjustment may end up down a long winding path to find a new solution that works. If you want options, maybe ask somebody else with more time up their sleeve.

cheers

Ps - you can display this logo any how you like when the final files are supplied you can request whatever you like. This layout is just so you can see the multiple uses - unfortunately this site doesn't allow work to be displayed in a way that puts the logo into context. What you have with my solution is a logo that works on it's own as an icon with no text. it also works as a logo with text without an icon, it also works as text and with an icon.. it reads J N R Networks - people helping people -
On second glance it also has a hand shake in the N - the N is also split so the interest is drawn in to see that.
there are alot of things working to pull this design together as a professional mark.

I get what you are saying but I am wanting to work with you to see IF I want to proceed with this concept or another...I specifically put you in the Top 5 because I wanted to work with you on it. I really like what you've done with integrating the hands into the N. My concern is that I also need some sort of graphical component that can be separated and the graphic you are presenting doesn't quite hit the mark. If we can't get the graphic to be what we need, I can't select the logo, no matter how good it is, because it doesn't provide a graphical option.

If you won't work with me at this stage, just withdraw your selection and I'll work with another designer but I have to say, I'm really disappointed in this.

There are no guarantees you will use my design, I can only work super hard to provide a unique solution in a short time frame. I need to make a living from somewhere. I need to eat. Also when a logo is chosen, that designer may end up working an extra 5 hours tidying up the design to your satisfaction becuase they are simply obligated being the winner. I am just here to provide solutions. But I also have to find time to make a living.

I could spend 52 weeks working on this site and only get back $1000 in return if I'm lucky.

Jivin, your gripe with the site and its profitability to you is irrelevant to me...you joined this tournament and, now, won't work with me to help me figure out whether it is the design I want to go with. I'll request that the admin remove your design.

the graphic works.. it's an N for network and it's a hand shake or link visual. It's all about acceptance - take it or leave it. The other guys will spend hours on their designs for you to get what you need. I won't do that sort of work. It's all subjective and what you may find ahard to accept - another person may find extremely easy.

If you don't think the design works then I am not obligated to make it work. I'm sorry if that is your opinion and I can't meet your expectations and I'm also upset that I can't win the contest. I currently have some health issues and will not be able to function to the best of my ability. once again I am sorry if I have caused any inconvenience. Your understanding will be highly appreciated.

Jivin,

The reason I am so frustrated here is that I actually think that the design DOES work. The only tweaks I am asking for are some minor ones with the graphic as I'm having a hard time seeing how I would use that component. Other than that, I really do like the design and both my wife and I were very disappointed that you won't work further with us on this as you were easily in the top 2 or 3 choices, if not the top choice. The only reason you "can't" win the contest is because you are unwilling to work with me to tweak on a few final things to help get the graphic to a suitable place.

The main thing that you had going for you in the design was the fact that you integrated a graphic with the text. The only issue was figuring out how to also create a graphic concept that could stand alone yet still communicate a clear message.

I appreciate that you have health issues and I genuinely hope you are able to get to feeling better.

I also appreciate that you put a lot of work into this but please know that I also put a lot of work into this...this represents the image of MY company and I want to ensure that it is the best it can possibly be.

Hi James,

The only way to make the top graphic work more is by creating a more stylised or 3d gloss flavicon or put light finger nails on the thumbs and stack the wording to the right of it..the word is too big to really bother using it inside the icon graphic...Or the only other way is the words appear by themselves and the icon is used separate as a mark accompanying standard content text or articles containing your company name. it is still distiguishable when the two visuals are cross referenced within the contect of a corporate profile, website, article or other such document. Your services and expertise are separate and this logo reflects some of the personality of people helping people, networking in business and also networking in technology.
