@dazzleinteractive: Thanks so much for being the first to respond to my contest! I'd like to see the colors reversed (black being predominant) and maybe a more clearly identifiable microphone presence. I think I get what you're working towards but I think it needs to be a little more clear to the uninitiated.

One thing it does make me put out there is that I am bald, so the semi circle idea in general appeals to me. Google "Michael Jordan Cologne" for images of his logo that I appreciate. Maybe you could try to do the bald head with headphones with a mic in the center?

Another bit of info: the site will be predominantly black, so the logo should correspond.

Ok JJ , will work on your feedback now and upload the others , give me your feedback on my designers logo page by pressing on it and leaving your comments there , i will do my best as its my job to get close to something you like , but i thought that symbol of the microphone is simple and modern icon representing it

Notes to everyone: As designs have been posted, an idea has evolved. Taking the Michael Jordan cologne logo (I am bald also) and adding some headphones on it, a microphone shadowed in the center and a little bit of my face, which includes a goatee.

Please use a black background with blue and white (not grey) as the dominant colors. I'm also into seeing a horizontal and vertical treatment.

After taking the weekend to digest the excellent entries that have been posted, I'd like to thank those of you who jumped in early to my contest. I've learned a lot about the site and how it works over the last few days and plan to hand out plenty of blue ribbons to those who have diligently worked to help my business.

That said, I feel like posting the pic from myspace may have been a mistake. While it's an easy image to latch onto, it really doesn't convey the friendliness and softness I need to project to reach my future customers. I'm not a rock-n-roll voice-of-God guy at my core. I can do this, but I also need to convey that I can sound young, fresh and friendly to TV producers who already have guys to do the "in a world where no one is safe" movie trailer.

To those of you who have used my pic in fun and creative ways, I appreciate this. If you still feel moved to pursue this my mind is not closed, but I definitely am looking for some other directions.

I'm also interested in the Michael Jordan Cologne idea I posted about earlier. I don't feel that this has been nailed and would love to see it come to life. Until then I'll be browsing designer pages to see what inspiration and insight can be gleaned from the excellent work displayed here!

Greetings all. First, let me thank those of you again who have worked so hard and brought your gifts to the table for my benefit. This is a great community full of wonderfully talented designers! I've had the pleasure of private messaging with many of you and have enjoyed our interplay.

I've decided to extend to ask those of you who are interested to add another dimension to my contest. My career has spanned almost 20 years in radio and while I have a lot of opportunities in this field, I'm moving towards getting more and more TV work these days. That's why I'd like to incorporate not only radio but also TV into the image mix. If you have a design that can be changed, feel free...but I would really encourage new designs altogether. If you have a question, message me. I'm quick to respond to messages and will give you all the input and answers I possibly can.

Those of you who are at the top of the list, please know that your logos are still being strongly considered. If you've yet to contribute, here's your chance. I'm going to adjust the brief in a few moments so please check it again before submitting.
