Hi! Here is the initial design idea I came up with for your pub. I created celtic-looking barley, which can be removed as needed whenever you want to use just the round icon portion for simpler branding. I will post my other initial designs as well, so feel free to let me know what you think when you get time. Thanks!
I'm unsure about the celtic barley. I love the celtic mark in the ribbon. I'm liking #9 to work off of. Your comment about the white outline for #12 would look good around #9. Wondering if we could add in some black and/or deep orange to #9 somehow and would like to experiment with the font for J.J. Manning's. Appreciate your initial ideas.
Quick question. How will the 1st and 2nd ranked (#22 and #21) logos look if run off on a black & white copier for quick 'specials' menus for example. Could we see it in black and white?
One more request... #13, the distressed logo, could you show us using the orange tone background, like you used on #22, and also, could you show the distressed logo with both the current yellow background of #13 and the new orange one, in the font that font from #22? thank you!!
Hi, just giving you a quick update that I will be home in about 3 hours and can get you revisions at that time. (I'm only able to access the site on my phone right now.). Also, the top-ranked designer can still submit revisions in Judging Mode, so no worries about the time running out! Talk with you again soon!
I think we like the #1 (#22) ranked file the best. I like that you can provide the distressed version as well. The black & white sample was appreciated as well. I do have on question. The distressed version in #56 which is ranked #2 looks good but the #13 entry turned me off as the distressed look seemed too much. Do the distressed markings pull from the background color? The white again seemed to much as did the really dark but again it shows well in a medium green.
I guess if we can figure out the distressed look for our favorite we can move forward. We appreciate your time, effort, and creativity. We had used LT once before and had a little trouble with .eps so would appreciate the file in a .jpg in addition to the .eps file. Thanks.
Excellent question about the distressed layer: it does indeed match to the background color(s) right now, but I will rework it and reduce the effect in certain areas so that it will work with any color/background. I will submit a couple new distressed ones after I rework it so you can see how it would look with each color.
As for file types: I typically provide an EPS and an AI file (both are 100% vector for printers/designers to use) and I also provide a JPG and a PNG file (both work great for virtually anything else), as well as a PDF just so you can easily preview or forward a sample of your logo to anyone. And if you ever need anything further in the future, that is no problem as well!
I will touch base in a little bit once I refine the distressed layer.
I think you will find this to be much better in terms of the amount of distressed texture is included. I will post a white version next with the exact same layer included (but in white).
Ok GoodGuy, i think we are ready to finalize this and declare you the 'winner' :) we have re-ranked the enteries, to give 'credit' to some of the other designers that worked so hard on this. Before we do the final 'winner' selection, what is our limit on selections? We really like #22--currently ranked #1, but we'd also like the distressed 'versions' (#'s 55-58) as well...and a black and white version (#53)...and a distressed black and white if possible....is this possible? We also don't quite yet want to rule out the yellow back ground (#21) Once we select you as the winner, would all of these (and a new distressed black and white version) get forwarded to us?
Hey, that all sounds great! All of those are simply variations on your final design, so I will definitely be able to forward all of those onto you as well. Not a problem! I will be able to upload the standard EPS & JPG to the site server, and I will email you AI, EPS, PNG, JPG & PDF files of them as well.
