Color Preferences
No neon colors. Visit the web site, www.InterviewRoadmap.com, to see the colors that are presently used.
I like white, black, green but am open to new ideas. I don't mind if the logo is colorful as long as it still looks professional and tasteful.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The concept of a new job (maybe a suit or briefcase?) I like creativity so don't stop at just these two suggestions).
Symbolize that there's a path to getting an interview: starts with knowing how to sell yourself, then having the right cover letter, then a resume, and finally the right interview skills once you get the interview. Designers do not need to necessarily draw a road or path but I'm open to this as long as it is done creatively.

The tagline is: You've got the drive, we've got the directions. The word "drive" represents both "drive" as in driving a car, and "drive" as in passion and motivation. So, the logo should somehow show both sides of the word "Drive" and our company having the "directions" or know-how and expertise.

Logo will be used in print, on the web, and on promotional items so would like file types (and dpi) to accomodate all situations.

I like the seatbealt concept in #1 but I'd like to see other concepts as well to choose from. Also, I'd like something with more details to it. Good job though! :)

The roadsigns look nice and they connote direction but I'd like something that plays off the slogan more, and something that connotes passion, drive, and a journey. Keep'em coming--good work so far! They look very slick! I like that the word "roadmap" is a different color from "Interview"

I liked #55 in Journey On's contest: https://logotournament.com/contests/journey_on too. This is a cool way of showing there's a journey without being too direct. Very creative! This is the kind of creativity I'd like. Remember, Interview Roadmap is about the journey to getting the interview and that is about selling yourself, having a cover letter, resume and the right skills. My current logo has a man holding a map (www.InterviewRoadmap.com) but it felt like it was lacking something. I don't want my logo to be too similar to others out there. The road sign with the arrow looks like it could easily be a logo for other companies. I also like details in logos so the more the better.

Thanks!

VR could be an incredible coincidence but your entries are really similar to this --> http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/41394

Would rather not do a compass theme since it is overused in the resume writing industry. Please focus on the concepts I have mentioned in my design brief and read over my previous comments to get a feel for what I'd like!

#12 and #1 don't have much detail. For #12, I'd like the logo to incorporate more than just a road if you choose to re-post this concept.

Hi all,

I really wanted a unique concept for my logo that goes beyond the obvious concepts one would think of when they think of my company name...or taking a concept that is obvious but adding a twist..for example..instead of just a road sign, maybe a roadsign with an image of a briefcase or something that relates to having a job or interview? Bring on the creativity! :)

We can also emphasize the map concept too here. I want the logo to portray MOVEMENT and the concept of PASSION as well since I use the word "Drive" in there..drive as in driving a car, and "drive" as in one's motivation, strength, passion, etc.

Thanks for all of your hard work! Keep it up!

Hi all,

Some of the concepts don't seem to be too clear or the details in the images aren't showing up well. remember, this logo will go in print as well as the web. I'd like to include it on t-shirts, hats, etc. so it should have some complexity, but not too much.

This logo must excude professionalism while at the same time helping emphasize that is is about resumes, cover letters, interview consulting. It is about all the different elements that make up and lead to getting an interview.

I like the element of making the logo look like a map, like entry #55 from www.logotournament.com/journeyon but somehow showing that the journey leads to an interview...and maybe showing the different elements that lead to an interview.

again, I'd rather go beyond road signs. Please provide different concepts as roadsigns could easily end up looking like a logo for other companies.

Hope this helps!

What about an image of a map where an arrow from the map is leaping off the page and creating a path that ends with a briefcase? Along that path it could show images of papers (resumes/cover letters), and people sitting down to interview.

Another thing...My name might be misinterpreted to mean I offer services that help you once youv'e received an interview. But iin reality I offer services for everything that leads up to an interview, during an interview and after in the form of resumes, cover letters, interview consulting and seminars. So my logo really needs to highlight a path of some sort and/or that I offer all types of assistance for getting TO an interview (versus consulting FOR the interview only). Let me know if you need clarification.

Please post new concepts that do not include road signs. I'd like to see something different. I love what I have seen so far but I'd like to have a wide variety of different concepts (not just designs) to choose from. Thanks! :)

PLEASE remember that the logo MUST show the full host of services I offer:
*resumes and cover letters
*interview consulting

The logo MUST show a sense of passion and direction.

You are free to be creative with HOW you address these things. I just need different concepts to choose from.

All logos that do not fit these criteria will not be considered and will be marked "not interested."

How about a map image that shows cover letters, resumes, interview skills (or interview consulting), and a final destination on it? OR, it includes cover letters, resumes, and interview skills, but the road jumps off the page to lead to the final destination? Let me know if you need clarification on what I have in mind.

Again, how about a map image that shows cover letters, resumes, interview skills (or interview consulting), and a final destination on it? 21 hours left! This is going to be a tough call! You guys are all doing a wonderful job. If anyone else is considering entering this contest, do so now before it's too late. I'm always interested in new concepts.

#81 seems too simply for me..i like details and I want it to appear very professional and polished. But thank you so much for listening to what I have been requesting. I just need some more detail here.

Hi all,

I just got word of the issue between Irish51's design and Kabayanaba's. Personally, I didn't see it as a direct copy because he included the road, a world, and show the two elements leading UP TO the briefcase, not being behind the briefcase. It is unfortunate taht his entry was removed as I loved the color and layout.

Hi PersianPheonix,
Any thoughts on how these new ones might be improved?
Cheers,
Robin.

Hi iRobin,

Maybe if they were following the road more to show some sort of progression? and if the map looked a little more crinkly, that might help

I'm considering on extending the contest to give everyone more time to make final edits. I'd rather you provide your best work then provide something quickly edited :) I don't see this going any further than another day or so however, as I really need my logo ASAP. Fair enough?

PLEASE remember, I need THREE main elements to show in each logo: resumes, cover letters, and interviewing. Do not submit logos that do not include these elements.

No worries, I had the 3D map brainwave very late in the piece, so I appreciate the extra time! :) Working on it now.

iRobin, can I also see what the yellow road signs one would look like with a road? How about a road that has perspective? (starts off wide, near the words "Interview roadmap" and gets narrower as it goes off into the distance from front to back)

Original, I like the idea of the roadmap on the briefcase but I need it to show that I do resumes and interview consulting. Can you also make the road jump out of the briefcase more so it looks like the road is leading to the briefcase?

Hi Persian Pheonix,

https://logotournament.com/forum/general_discussion/914

I've just spotted this in the general discussions and, being new to LT, I found it very helpful... thought it might be of some interest to you to.
Cheers,
iRobin.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to take time to thank you all so much for putting your hearts into this. I feel very lucky to have worked with such a talented group of designers. This is going to be a very tough decision!

However, I would like to let you know that those designers who I liked but weren't selected as the winner may be contacted by me for either future projects and/or to be referred to others in my association who need a new logo. Thank you again!

Take care and lots of love,

Sherry

I want to clarify what happened here before... sorry if this little bit late coz last night I'm chasing by time to submit some variations for this contest.... :)

i report Irish to logocourt because in my mind there are SIMILARITIES CONCEPT in layout by putting the letter in the left with angled , briefcase in the center and interview in paper in the right angled, and the way he coloring the word "interview roadmap" is the same.... that are the main issues...and irish logo in my opinion is copycat... Honestly, i invite top designers to vote, they are already won more than 1 gold and i think they are not a stupid designers but professional designers. in LC it's didn't need hard mind to vote the copycat... i was surprised when moderator canceled the decision and Irish comeback to the contest! Now what i can say

we're in judging mode let see what will happen...so good luck for iRobin & Irish!!

for #112 is my stupidest entry!!!.

Hi Pheonix,

You're still in the judging phase so I am sure I don't need to mention this... but I just wanted to make sure that you are aware of the etiquette of ranking unique designs in the first three places.. so as to not award three places to variations of the one design. It's a small way of thanking those who you deem to have put in a valuable effort.

Thanks,
iRobin.

Yup I didn't plan on making the first three places be the same design, don't worry ;) Like I said, I plan on letting others know about the quality of the work of those who were in this contests who I liked, especially those that will rank #1, #2 and #3. :)
