The orange gradient at the top of the "P" would hopefully suggest a torch or flame in motion.

Perhaps the circle shape — or a semicircle — could go within the open hole of the "P" to suggest an eye further?

This looks great. It's actually suggesting a forward-looking eye now, which is pretty cool. Last favor to ask: Could we see one design with the grey switched to a rich green and the top of the "P" in a color gradient? (I'm hoping that the gradient will suggest the idea of a banner.) Then, can you do the same with a vibrant orange in place of the grey? Thanks so much!

I know we're past our deadline on this tournament, but I had a thought about this logo that might enhance it: The letter "P" here is interesting but not really suggestive of anything. I wonder if you bring the line of the "P" up from the base toward the top a little beyond the juncture, it might suggest the form of a person holding a banner or torch maybe. I'll show you what I mean with the markup tools. Thanks!
