Integration through Education
What We Do
I.A.M. provides support to the immigrant community through educational, legal, and personal advancement programs that encourage integration into American society.
IAM offers two types of programs to achieve this endeavor:
1) ESL Language Program whereby we use an unconventional approach to teaching English. In addition to traditional classroom learning, we take students outside the classroom in order for them to apply what they have learned to the real world in real time.
2) Conversation Mixers are a more relaxed environment that allows students to freely try to converse in a small group. Stakeholders act as conversation facilitators pushing the conversations to the students and allowing it to take its own course within a structured theme.
Furthermore, we offer workshops for our students and their families as well as the community at large designed to promote personal advancement. These topics range from financial health, Immigration Law, General advice on New York City, State as well as Federal rights available to individuals and Real Estate.
