Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
#11 is great. We like the look, but wondered if colors could be changed--maybe to include a blue, or flesh-toned colors? Just to see.... Same with #10 Also, would prefer the lettering to be less bold.
Liked #7, too. Could you take off the outline around the circle? To look more like # 6.
We really like #13, but still would prefer the additional colors of #16. What would you think of making the font of the words a color also - possibly deep blue or - your choice.
#20 has possibilities. Centre wouldn't fly in Idaho; it has to be Center. Could the state of Idaho fit in the "h" or would it look too cluttered. The contrast with the hand icon could be greater - maybe by using a darker color.
We like #37, but are a little concerned about using a red cross. Apparently, "The Red Cross" is fussing about people using their symbol. Maybe a different color combination would be worth a try.
Lois - According to your comment above in your brief (We currently use a logo with two hands cupping the state of Idaho and it has become too common - used by other entities. We need something more unique) I understood it that you "didn't" want a hand with the state in the palm. But, now I see that you are turning more and more to that idea. Should we all steer towards that idea now and do some more versions of it?
#37 Could we go back to the red white and blue, but use a red star in place of the cross.Boise is in the southwest corner of the state, about 1/6th of the way up.
In response to "The FatKid", we may have conveyed an incorrect idea in our comments. We actually like the idea of having the state of Idaho in our logo. We are just trying to get away from the "Allstate" cupping of the state in two hands idea. This particular way of depicting Idaho is used over and over again here. Putting both a hand and the state of Idaho in the logo is actually quite desirable.
Hi Lois, I wonder which idea you prefer to go for your company name in the logo. 1. Idaho with 'hand center' as tagline 2. Idaho hand with 'center' as tagline. This one seems your favorite so far and its easier for designers to arrange the positioning next to any pictoral elements. Sounds strange though, or 3. Idaho hand center together without any tagline.
We have just extended the contest as our former end would have been on a weekend when people would not be around to view or rank entries. We are also getting excited about the entries thus far and are trying to increase the prize money. 'Hope we can do this.
In response to jatayu, we prefer option 2. However we had started out in our minds that the whole name should be given equal weight. But, as you point out, we find we like "center" as the tagline.
Can you please give me some feedback on entries #61 through #74, so that I can give you more bang for your buck. Not to mention this will give me more of an idea of which direction to take mine in. Also you can give individual feedback by clicking on the designers entry, unless you want it as public knowledge, then you should definately enter comments here how you have been.
