Can you merge the two words 'high' and 'rise' to make one 'highrise'? It will make it even more 'together'. (It's a valid word available in the dictionary.)
Lastly, is there any way to include a motion/idea of move - still keeping it simple and plain?
Like #17 - yes please! it looks more 'alive' with the colour. Perhaps you may try moving from 'all capitals' to 'all lower case' or to a thinner font so that the logo looks less 'square' and more playful? see my latest comment on the contest's board.
Re #18: sorry but .com must be there - it's an internet project. Also, #18 looks a bit too smooth, not edgy enough... the fonts I had in mind (for website) is more like Chillout, funky, playful
OK thanks for putting .com back. I revised the rankings. I like your work, would you like to try other fonts - to make it more 'edgy' or 'funky'? thanks!!
Cool, I thought you wouldn't see my latest entry before going online. Could I ask you for a small favor? Could you point me to examples of fonts you like. I really want to hit the mark just right.
#25, I like the font, but not sure why you decide to put picture on the right... kind of look strange to me, would you like to put it back on the left, and words on the right?
to keep: like the simplicity of the picture like the way the logo holds 'together' (the #25, your latest design, does not give me the same feel)
what I suggest to try/improve: can you try to play with more 'relaxed' fonts as you started in #25? since the strenght of your logo for me is its simplicity, I think you can add a funkier font without making it look too busy. try a different colour pattern eg one colour + one neutral. The blue colour feels a bit cold, perhaps move to a warmer end of spectrum?
Also, please take a look at a piece of promotional material I am using for this project, it may help to understand what i mean by 'relaxed' font: http://www.pbase.com/image/142695212.jpg
#53 - the orange seems a bit 'washed out', may be difficult to read. To this, I prefer #52 (and 'fitness' is slightly easier to read here than on #53).
#54 - 'fitness' is a bit too proper, like a schoolchild would write. again, for that reason I prefer #52 or #53
their respective ranking: 52 (1st), then 53 (second), then 54 (third place)
I suggest to work on #52 to make it perfect )) for this, all I can suggest right now is to make the 'highrise' slightly bigger - I feel it a bit small, relative to 'fitness'.
Thank you!! I may be offline for the next 8 hours, I am on Hong Kong time...
#62 and #63 look right and give me a good feeling - I really cannot think of what i wanted to change there right now. I need to take a few hours' break and take second look, then I may have some ideas for you to try. Right now all I can say I like them a lot!
Hi Olga. I hope you're doing well. I hope you're happy with my work, and generally that of the entire pool of designers. I'm not sure why there was a 3 day extension... in any case you can always ask Admin to speed up the process and take the contest back to top 5 mode where the first 5 ranked designers can keep submitting revisions, or jump straight to judging mode, where the designer you choose to have in 1st place is the one with the ability to submit final revisions.
At your service and looking forward to the result of the contest. Cheers. Ted
yes I do like your work, and your #1 ranked logo remains a clear #1 for me. At the same time, I do continue to give feedback to other designers, as they continue to improve their work.
I requested extension some time ago, several hours before the end of the Open stage, but Support was too slow to react - I explained it to them yesterday and they switched us back to the top 5 mode.
thank you! I moved a new logo from grafikus to the #1 position today, and I think it is purely because of the picture. I liked the simplicity of your picture but now I feel it is a bit static. I remember in some of the earlier versions you made it a bit angled, but it didn't work well for me. Perhaps you'd like to try to make it more dynamic, while keeping the simplicity of it?
The last three pictures from grafikus either show a move upwards (one tall building) or a 'funky' kind of cityline. I am not asking you to follow his ways, but may be you can make your picture part a bit more alive?
Here are a couple of points I'd like you to look into: - picture - I mentioned this before, it may look a bit 'static', can you liven it up a bit/making it more dynamic without making it more complicated? - colours - can you suggest at least one more colour combination with purple/violet in which the second colour is not neutral (ie not grey or black)?
Take a look at my recent entries. The graphic has a little more dynamism now. I tried a couple of shapes for the buildings, and a few color combinations. I'm not sure how masculine or feminine it should look. I'm glad to provide more options if necessary.
(1) What is the difference between #112 and #115? I couldn't see...
(2) regarding the other colour combos like with pink and orange - not a big fan of them, they are kind of almost too bright to be seen (on white screen). Perhaps they look better on black and on paper/fabric...
(3) I'm still liking the purple/steel grey best (#110)
The difference between #112 and #115 is the line at the base of the buildings in #115. To me it makes the set of buildings look a little more stable.
I'm not too crazy for the pink either. My favorite combinations are #110, or maybe #115 with the gray from #110 instead of blue. And I must say the colors from #63 are a great combo (for me).
there are two puple-ish colours there, one dark (on the left) and one bright (on the right). How about replacing the grey on #110 with the dark purple (left side) colour? the one on the right is close to the original colour of 'fitness' - to my untrained eye - if not, then replace the original colour with this one (the right side colour) and see who these two play together in the logo.
I love both #110 and #116... Is there any way to get both after the contest is closed? The website design has not yet started so I'd like to try both colour combinations (even though they are so very close).
