Color Preferences
We are keen to avoid the tones used in the current logo, i.e. a limey green and sea blue. Open to suggestions re new colours used (green and blue acceptable if stronger, darker shades).
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The link to our current website (which will undergo a complete revamp to tie in with this new logo once completed) is www.hifoodanddrinkawards.com.
We are open to the logo taking more of a landscape shape OR becoming circular OR remaining as a portrait or square.
We would want it to be fresh, clean, modern and functional; with a corporate/professional feel that reflects the prestige of these Awards but at the same time, not too dull and forgettable.
Please note, we will need a generic logo PLUS a datable version, i.e. 'Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards 2013' and so on that can be updated year on year. Please see attached versions of both current logos.

Thanks very much to the three designers who have submitted designs so far. We are waiting for a few more logos before ranking and communicating further.

Many thanks to everyone who submitted entries to our Contest. We were very impressed!

The following notes and suggestions are relevant to all of the top 5 designs we've ranked so we thought it made sense to put them in this communal format rather than to individuals.

We are keen to see some alternative colour schemes if possible? As our current logo that we are replacing is a limey green and medium blue, we would like to move away from this and see what some different, strong colours look like in the logos please.

Where there are mountains, they need to be less rugged, pointy and snow-capped as this is not what Highland of Scotland mountains look like. They can be more rounded and perhaps an indication of the plant heather, or coastal elements would work either instead of or as well as mountains?

We are keen to have some sort of food/drink element included in the logo but it has to be something that is synonymous with the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, e.g. replace the apple in the first logo with something else...perhaps a Highland cow outline or leaping salmon?

We would very much like to see the first five logos amended as per the above comments if possible please?

Many thanks and we look forward to seeing what you come up with at the next stage.

Thanks for all the new and exciting logos! We are having difficulty choosing which we prefer, partly because there are now so many great ones and partly because we are designing by committee and need to contact and take into account the views of a group of people.

Please bear with us and we will rank and make final decisions very soon!
