Many thanks for your logo submission. We are finding this process particularly difficult as we are having to run everything past a committee and take on board the opinions of a further six people (few of course can agree!). Your design is popular but we're not sure we can just have a Highland cow representing the food element as our Awards feature a wide range of food and drink producers, retailers, manufacturers, restaurants, etc. We wonder if this logo will put too much emphasis on beef providers - some might see it like that, even though we understand that the cow is more of a Scottish/Highland emblem than anything else.
We are also not sure how this logo would replicate on say, a glass trophy? Certainly we would recommend making the text stronger, particularly the 'Food & Drink Awards' element of it which is as important, if not more so, than the 'Highlands & Islands' element.
If you are able to have a play about and do some final tweaking, we'd be delighted to see what you can offer?
