Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Hello Sir! What kind of design you are looking for? Logo design or packaging design? If you are looking for a logo design, I believe mock- ups such as packaging aren't allowed just to showcase the logo.

The problem we are facing here is that there is no product template or dimensions required. If you are asking us to design a customized template and artwork for your product we simply cannot do this here...it take more than just running contest to design packaging.

the vacuum pack is the a hard surface (cardboard or plastic back or is it all a plastic wrap...what size these are thing we need to know.

Hello Kolman Evengy,

Since this site is not a packaging design site, there may be certain designs presented which would make manufacturing the product extremely expensive or even impossible to print and/or die-cut. To better help prepare yourself and insure a quality design, I would like to offer the following advise, suggestions and question which you may want to take into consideration.

Will the packaging be a waxed paper or tag board (lithograph) with polyethylene film (window) adhered to the substrate? Will the product be in a sealed polybag then placed in the box (with no film glued to the box)? Designing without knowing the exact specs required for the printing and die cutting process can be a huge financial disaster for you and a real headache for a designer. You may end up choosing a fantastic design that would require too much custom and/or manual labor to make it feasible to produce. In addition to the print process, there may be regulatory requirements for food packaging which may vary from country to country - from what must be stated, to the exact location and placement of certain statements. For instance, here in the USA, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has very strict guidelines of what must be said, cannot be said, where the text must be placed, even to what size font and how much space between the required elements. An accidental slip-up can lead to heavy monetary losses from not being adequately prepared. Even if you get past all the obstacles and find someone who can print and handle the die-cutting and gluing in-line, you would still need to consider the products handling. Will the package hold up well when handled in production and distribution? Will it hold up well when handled by consumers? (Keep in mind that if the packaging has edges that may catch or crease, then those damaged boxes may end up being manufacture buybacks (which will adversely affect the bottom-line).

Okay, all the doom and gloom out of the way, I would like to suggest that you take some of the ideas presented and ask whoever will be printing and manufacturing, what they see as potential production problems. Maybe you can then relay that message here, so that the designs can be submitted with the proper requirements. It is alway better to address these issue before getting in to deep. Hope this information is of some help. :)

Thank you.
