The mix of modern and classical elements is very refreshing. I am not wanting the lighter greens that suggest an environmental law practice. I do like the color gradient, though.
Hi Jeff I submitted some different new color schemes and a couple of new concepts. I think it's important to maintain a good balance between classic, trustworthy, experienced and a modern and fresh feel. Your logo is what sets you apart from the competition and must also be memorable. I went for a more simple and meaningful approach so that the logo can be well reproduced in small sizes (on letterheards, fax, favicon for your website). In branding, it's not that important to visually depict in an explicit manner what you do, but have a unique memorable mark that can easily identify you.
Let me know if you want to see anything else. You can use variations on your printed materials, for example the burgundy background on the business cards and an inversed version for your website.
