Tini1 - thanks for submitting. Here's what I like:
I like what you did with the mosaic in #20, with understated cross, as well as the very subtle in the middle of it. I really like the look of font you and upper case for 'church'. And I like where you're going with lower case on 'heartland'.
on #21, I like the white on dark. It's sharp. And I like how the two words align on the left and right with each other.
What I'm don't think works for us is the heart on 21 over the 'e' and 'a'. I think the font for Heartland in both is too feminine. The only other thing is the 3D effect in the mosaic. I don't think we want to go for shiney look. I'd like to see it without the 3D effect.
Tini1 - Thanks so much for your submissions. #34 is the clear front runner among the team. But we will be working with the other top 4 designers, because there are people on the selection team that like aspects of the other designs.
If possible, could we see the following changes: We really like the heart in the middle. In any of these changes, please keep the heart within whatever color scheme you're using – we’d like the heart to remain as subtle as it is now. Great design!
Font – we like the lowercase bold font for “heartland” the way it is on #34. We’d like to see it larger, filling up more of the space to the right of the pictoral.
For “church”, we’d like to see it compressed and moved the right under ‘land’ similar to entry #35. And we’d like to see that as a different color within the color scheme.
We would like to see some other colors for this design: maybe a fall color scheme as well as reds and purples.
OK, I think we're getting close. We still like the original blue and green color best, but thank you so much for doing the other color schemes. It was good to see those.
We like the more compressed letters and lowercase 'h' of 152. Wondering if church could be the same blue color like it is in #34, but sized between the "church" in #20 and the "church" in #152. Does that make sense?
So to sum it up, take #152 back to the blue and greens and a tweak to "church" - hopefully we'll be able to land on that. Appreciate your willingness to work with us.
Sorry, gone all weekend. I know the deadline is today. At this point, it's between you and nothing. none of the other ones grabbed us enough to say, "yep, that's it." Most everyone really likes yours. There's a little bit of holdout on your design with a couple people thinking it might be a little too feminine. (Gotta love church committees...) With the eps file I know that we can change colors/shades on our own, but I'm wondering if it might be helpful for some to see the design darkened up a little. No color changes, just deeper shade of each color.
Is that a possibility to see today? If not, I don't think it's a "make it/break it" thing.
Just talked with a few on "the team" and we like the darker color, but there's still a question on where "church" should go.
May we see a hybrid of #34 ('church' spread out) and #156 with the color change? Will that change the size relationship of the letters to the mosaic? How close can you keep it to the 'heartland' - mosaic size ratio of #156? If the letters have to be smaller, that's understandable. We just don't want to go as small as #34. Does that make sense?
