Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

Here are some more information about Headoo :

If everything goes well :) Headoo will be a big international and successful company in 4 years, with customers in the US and Europe.
We will use the new technologies in the web, photo/video field and tablets and bring that to the beauty market to help them sell better.
Our service is B. to B.
Key factor of success will be ease of use, because those people don't want to manage hardware problems and cumbersome user interfaces.
Once again, our ambition is very big and the logo has to show that.

Very important : can you work on a neutral (=>white/transparent) backgound.

I see a risk with our name : the name begins with a H => some logos seem like Hotel logos. It is important that the logo should not seem to a hotel logo.

I would not play too much with the H.
I think it is more interesting to play with the complete name and with the 2 parts of the name : HEAD+OO

Definitely don't like the idea of a H as the main symbol of the logo

The logo must tell a story, the wedding of beauty, image and technology.

Hi everybody,

1. English is not my mother tongue, I'm not 100% familiar with english.
2. I'm french, and as you know, we french are very arrogant :)
3. Because of 1+2, what I write may seem unfriendly, and sometimes very unfriendly. Please, believe me, I'm everything but unfriendly. I want to give good feedback and when I reject something, I tell you why I don't like it very directly. Don't take it personal because I barely look at the designer name/nationality.

Can you please explain what is it exaclty what your company does?

We are creating the company. We are in early steps at the present time.
We find that the beauty sector actor (ex : hair dresser) does not use the new technologies at their full potential (social network, mobile device, numeric photography, etc.)
We want to help them use those technologies to sell more, for loyalty programs, recruit new customers, improve customer satisfaction, etc.

Just for information, the final decision will be common among three people, so any of the first 10 or so can win :)

Face in the logo is the way to go. Sorry, we discovered that so late…

Contest Note: Hi all this contest is extended. The client requested more time for the following reason:

"Hi designers, Thank you for the work so far, In our decision process we discovered very late that we want a face in the logo. Blame on us. As a consequence, we feel sorry that designers couldn't maybe give their full potential due to a lack of time.

So we decide 2 things : - We ask for a 3 day extension of the contest. - We increase the price package by 100 $. Here are 2 more important guidelines : - We want a human face (beautiful, pretty and happy) in the logo. - The logo must be very clean and usable on multiple surface easily (Web, Print, Billboards, Signs, stickers). Preferably, we should be able to change the color easily (which is the case of some logos ranked among the 10 first but not all). Cheers :) K."

- The logo must look OK on a small size (like 50x50 px for the image without text)
- Overall, we have good entries but the technological part of our project is often forgotten.

Please don't copy #274 and #269 but look into new ideas.
