I'm looking for something strong and creative, yet clean and simple, which is reflective of me and my business (see links above for a flavor of these two things). I like logos which are graphic and pop out at the viewer. I have a strong preference for san serif fonts.

Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo. The logo should be able to be applied to any target industry (in other words, do not graphically focus on real estate in the logo).

The logo will be used primarily on websites, blogs, and social media sites, as well as on a business card. Essential is for me to be able to create a square avatar from the logo or some element of the logo (although the logo doesn't have to be square...I just need some element of the logo to be able to be reflected in a square avatar).
