Considering you a highly competitive industry for visual awareness and name recall against other real estate / property brokers and managers as well as GC's and roofers ... my concept is to distance your business identity from the standard roofline / building logos many of them may have and instead make use of your name as a visual reference and name recall asset.
Humans respond to visual shapes and colors and generally remember these things easier than names. So I created a visual icon that blends your name and business into one = a fish / house graphic.
What this accomplishes:
• gets peoples' attention
• reinforces your last name
• can be a very strong memory recall element
• differentiates you from your competitors
Considering your demographic, the fish may be a good generational reference too. Many senior men may have fond memories of fishing or still enjoy doing it.
The colors of the logo are gray, blue and green. Visually they are arranged like a landscape (with green at the bottom like earth or grass).
I think this approach, along with a clever positioning tag line about finding the right property that references fishing, could be a very strong branding package for your business.
