Looked at the provided .EPS file and decided to draw you a new image based on the old one. So nothing in this image is imported from any old stuff. Just used the same layout/viewing angle. Even created some new 'brushes' in Illustrator for this. ;-)Improvements: New set of knives with proper wood handles and two colour blades. White tip on knives to indicate sharpness. Thicker chef hat with shadows. New pepperoni.Feedback is always welcome and remember that you can indicate to the designers what changes you want to see in the individual designs.RegardsAkerman(This comment references Entry #16) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Mixed Green/Red pepperoni colours gives a more 'Tabasco' feeling.(This comment references Entry #17) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Deeper green and a bit darker red.(This comment references Entry #18) 15 years ago grillsergeant88 Client That is a Chile Pepper not a Pepperoni. I know it is hard to tell what it is. On the logo it should read Grill Sergeant Gourmet - Sauces & Salsa.Would like to see the GSG in STENCIL Font on the Toque like in the Avatar, need to incorporate our slogan. "This is gonna sting a little". Would like to get a gold circle on the front of the Toque above the center of the brow and put the chile pepper center of the circle, does not have to be large. Thanks, 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Hi,tanks for the feedback, always appreciated! I will try and incorporate the requested changes/alterations tomorrow. I didn't want to put everything in there at once, since it might look 'busy' when the logo is printed on small items.RegardsAkerman 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer 1. Added Toque initials which are "Warped" to follow material shape.2. Added the gold circle behind the Chili Peppar on Toque. This actually has gradient and therefore shine and colour depth can be altered.3. "This is gonna sting a little" added and I choose to place it as an extra space in order not to invade on the size of the name and product reference. This way the customer has a balanced way to read; Name, Product and last "the friendly warning" ;-) (Albeit, this could also sit on top in the same manner, being the first the customer read.)Tell me if you like other adjustments/additions. I'm still thinking of doing a full frontal version with a more lightweight impression. (Kind'a like James Bond style except with two knives, Toque and chilis. Still sketching. Tell me if that appeals to you or if you're happy with the way things are goin'.RegardsAkerman(This comment references Entry #25) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Just havin' a lot of fun.1. Gold writing and inner ring2. Gradient on "Sauce &..."3. Shadow and shine on knives.(This comment references Entry #26) 15 years ago grillsergeant88 Client I look forward to see your other concepts and like what you have done. I like the warped letters and how they sit back on the toque. 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Ok, time to turn this up a notch ;-)A professional chef needs real professional knives, not 'cartoon/clip-art knives. So therefore...Voilá - "Kasumi 14cm Utility knives"The concept is as follows:1. Viewing angle more directed towards the viewer, not lying down and with depth.2. New real knives with shades.3. New Toque with shading and full golden circle. (And new chili...)4. New bigger, more red Chili peppers with shades and highlights. And there are 3 of them!5. Works on any background thanks to the outer black circle. (The next circle takes over when on black back. The nice thing with your logo is that it has all these interesting concepts to work with; knives, Toque, Chili's, red, gold, black and white. I think it's a very nice combo. Hope you like the new improved GSG. :-)Wish you could see this in bigger size... I want to eat there ;-)RegardsAkermanRegardsAkerman(This comment references Entry #36) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Red version(This comment references Entry #37) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Alternative font. (Looks nice, although personally I lean more towards readability before style)(This comment references Entry #38) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Oh, almost forgot; all graphics is of course hand-drawn by me and fonts are free (not licensed) and all designs are printable (made in CMYK colour space), meaning you won't loose any quality or depth in shades or gradients. Jut as it should be.regards 15 years ago grillsergeant88 Client We all think that #26 has a better balance graphic wise. I do like the richer background it really pops. Thanks, 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Hmm, are you saying that you would like to see a marriage between #26 and #38?(Keeping #38 label layout and laying the Toque and knives 'to rest', as in #26?) ... or...? 15 years ago grillsergeant88 Client Yes, that is what I was trying to say..Thanks!! 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Ok, I suspected so, but wasn't sure... ;-) Will give this a try tomorrow.regards 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Hmm, what can I say... Gordon Ramsey, eat your heart out! The chefs at "Grill Sergeant Gourmet" makes Sauces & Salsa so hot that your best attempt will taste like baby food. At that's a best case scenario!;-)It took some time but here it is: The marriage between the best of two worlds, the original 'lying down' layout and the 'real world' knives.1. Same concept as previous images with the 'poppin' out effect2. More correctly 'warped' letters on toque to follow the natural shape.3. Now warped golden ring with actual relief on inside and outside on ring. (You should see this in billboard sign size...mmmm... :-)4. Warped chili on Toque to follow the natural shape too, of course.I'm producing some variations so you can pick and choose. Hope you like it.RegardsAkerman(This comment references Entry #42) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Slogan outside as a variation.(This comment references Entry #43) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer P.S. If you want the 'opening' back on the Toque to emphasize the 3D effect more, I can of course do that. I just perceived the 'Golden ring' and 'Chili' on Toque to be of more importance. i.e. to give them more space.Just snap the fingers and it'll be there in a jiffy... :-)RegardsAkerman 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Variation with red metallic frame on slogan.Remember that you can always switch off the layer with the slogan in these ones and for whatever reason just use it as a round logo with the company name without slogan. (Maybe some product packing).RegardsAkerman(This comment references Entry #44) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer I can only guess what you guys has been talkin' about... a new product... hmm.I want to 'play' too, so here's my contribution. If you still want the slogan to be there, the just combine this with #42! ;-) Piece of pepper!RegardsAkerman(This comment references Entry #45) 15 years ago grillsergeant88 Client I think that I would like to see the toque and knives of #26 in #42 & #45 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer Sure, no problem. 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer As per request; toque and knives of #26 in #42(This comment references Entry #46) 15 years ago Akerman Logo Designer As per request; toque and knives of #26 in #45(This comment references Entry #47) 15 years ago
