What We Do
gloup soup is the next stage of evolution from theglitch.co, a London-based filmmakers’ collective now forming into a production/distribution company. The name “gloup” is intended to hint at “glitch group,” “g loop,” “gloop,” and a sound like a gulp—evoking a sense of creative community, fluid collaboration, and forward momentum.

We’re involved in telling stories across different platforms and formats, from short-form to feature films.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
Visual Direction
We’re looking for a logo that can stand confidently as the full phrase “gloup soup” or as a more organic redesign of the standalone “G.” (Or both). The current Glitch logo (in references) relies on a digital optical illusion. We’d like to retain a subtle nod to that sense of playfulness and dimensionality, while moving toward a more organic feel.

Gloup Soup
One approach could be by trying out Gloup Soup being written as if looking down at a bowl of soup with the pools on the surface forming the words kind of like the references attached for Voices radio. This is a good alternative approach as it allows to pre utilise the logo in use within other contexts. There is a reference attached drawn with a pencil for this.

References
We admire the simplicity of companies like A24, NEON, Pulse Films, Adult Swim, and Annapurna Pictures, but we also appreciate the vibe of Amoeba Music—just enough character to stand out. We want to strike a balance: simple, modern, and clean, yet capable of subtle fluidity or animation elements that can “ooze” out from the forms when needed.

Additional Notes
Please consider the attached references, including the current logo (which perhaps feels too digital and lacks organic nature of human endeavour in creative pursuits). The final design should be adaptable, working well in static and animated forms, and conveying a sense of innovation, community, and a slight nod to the unexpected.
