Hi YanYan. Thank you for all of your work during the contest.
We are happy that Global Gateway Foundation has chosen to work with you to create their logo. On the team there are some differences of opinion on which one they like best. Can I please ask you to make a few more changes?
Here are their thoughts: "what they like about #42 is the swirl and the star, which they feel represent energy." "Is there a way to integrate the swirl and star with #91" "and maybe also try removing the grid from #91 and replacing it with just a swirl and a star? Or a couple of swirls and a star?" "Maybe YanYan has some other thoughts about how to bring an "energy" feeling into the design."
Hi YanYan.. thank you for your latest submissions. We appreciate all of your energy and effort.
We are getting very close to making everyone on the team happy.
The design that is closest to approval is #91
- We like the Diagonal line that separates the upper globe portion from the bottom grid portion of the sphere… but in other designs, like #42 and #131, we can see that that line goes all the way around the globe is thinner in the "back" giving the impression of three dimensions. Can we please add that to #91?
- Right now Africa is in the middle of the front of the globe… we think that if you could rotate the globe towards the east it would make North America more visible and would put the Atlantic Ocean in the middle of the front of the globe. We think this will make space to add the Star into the center of the sphere like in design #130.
Hi sorry a bit late in reply, anyway thanks for that updates are up with #132 - #133 - #134 - #135. I've Aligned the star to be the center of the globe its a bit tricky to adjust the continents though.
Thanks again… personally I think that #134 is the best.. but I have forwarded them all to the team to get their feedback. I'll reply again as soon as I hear from them!
Hi YanYan. You have been very understanding and generous in providing so many options for us to consider. I'm sorry to ask you again for two more alterations.
I heard back from the team. They like #135 the best. Everything in the globe, the continents, the swoosh and the star all seem to be good and approved. But, they asked if you could try two other ideas:
1) Starting with #135 …. please remove all the words from within the blue border/circle that goes around the globe. But, leave the blue border in same position. Place the name "Global Gateway Foundation" under the icon, with no gradient, similar to #92. Proportionally, they would like the icon to be fairly large in comparison to the text, similar to #120
2) Starting with #135… please remove the entire outer circle/border including the words. Then, with the same instructions as the above request, please place the name "Global Gateway Foundation" under the icon.
When I receive these two versions, the Foundation will select the final winner from #135 and these two newest submissions.
Hi YanYan .. I'm still waiting for a final response from the team… it's taking a little longer than I expected because some of the main people in the organization are spread out and traveling this week.
I'll let you know and select the winner as soon as I hear back!!
I wanted to thank you personally, again, for all of your ideas and energy during this contest. The team at Global Gateway Foundation has selected your design, #136, as the winner for the contest.
Please keep in touch and hopefully we can collaborate on another project in the future.
Thank you so much for choosing the final logo :) I'll prepare the files in a moment for uploading here & some files with your email as well. Thanks again.
