*Perhaps smaller font (bigger hand)
*not sure about the 'wing's that are either side of the palm... perhaps a variation?

trying to follow your request - different version - different smaller font - bigger hand encircled with a safe zone!

*I prefer lower case though with the safe in the same color as the hand.
*I like the addition of 'practical self defense' -- perhaps that could be gray (or some other color you though appropriate)?
