I like your "salt crystals" take, but I do prefer flat colour rather than shading and detail, which is why I've ranked your concepts a bit lower than other contenders.

These are a few variations on #78 without the shading, using just solid blocks of color.
#96 is just a darker version of #95.

Yes, I prefer your three new entries to the earlier ones (more appropriate to website navigation). Perhaps you could try experimenting with the font to make it a bit more interesting - have a look at some of our top-ranked designs for examples.
