The bell shape reads wrong. It looks like a bell, yes, but just like any generic bell. It's not like a handbell because the top is too rounded and there is no hint of a handle attached. See pics submitted with the contest. The problem is, we're trying to appeal to the general public but also to handbell aficionados. The latter would look at the bell and think, "Looks wrong."

Anybody want to take a stab at choosing the colors FOR us? We said "colorful, playful," but then I think we picked colors that (so far) do not look that way. Our fault. We were thinking more of the descriptors provided and the color of our outfits and equipment. For example, "orange" was the closest we could come to "metallic gold," which is how the bells look.

Slide your chairs back away from the monitor by a good arms length. If you can read the word GATEWAY but you can't really read the word RINGERS, then everybody who looks at the logo is going to have the same problem. On T-shirts, on posters, etc. The words need to be both legible, probably by having them be nearly the same size. Many things around St. Louis are called GATEWAY this and GATEWAY that...so if you can't read the word RINGERS it becomes pretty nonspecific to us.
