What We Do
We are a small American manufacturer of narrow textiles. In our grass roots production mill, we manufacture cording, tasssels, trim and fringe to address the fringe market of interior design, custom furniture construction, and decorative accents all over the country.
Industry
Manufacturing & Wholesale
Color Preferences
neutrals (khaki, white, warm greys, black)
red, orange or sage green accents
Our Ideas & Additional Information
we like the idea of the wording to be in two different fonts
"Fringe" as flowing and hand scripted because of the hands on required to make it happen more structure in the word "market"
a background within an emblem is ok but don't want to limit ourselves to that. our products are also woven. Have seen scrollwork as a border that works, could be made out of cording. We call our office/facility a mill. We turn raw materials into finished products. Also use a lot of natural fibers etc.

I like the starting place. What do you think about incorporating bullets like a tag line. Our products include trim, cording, tassels, fringe, tape, bullion... I like the hand scripted fonts. What others are available?

Would anybody work on a border? We like the two large words like I've said before but they seem to be a little lost without the tag words like I mentioned and something to tie it together. The background is a nice start I have seen a filigree border that is still clean but with some scrollwork creating a rectangular or horizontal oval emblem rather than a circle. I'm hoping to see some more entries for feedback.

i think that a lower case f is good if anyof you would like to use that. Some of the F's are very strong and I'd rather see the more flowing letter

I will be out of town until Saturday evening. On Sunday our team will get together to get a final direction and judge. Thank you so much for your input up to this point. We look forward to finalizing and moving forward.

Thank you for your patience. We are struggling with reaching a consensus on the winner. We are interested in a simple solution but the fonts are difficult. The "F" in the current first rank (#82) is still a little too harsh and the flowing part of the text is a little contrived rather than smooth and continuous. We like the current second rank (#73) but feel maybe we have made it too simple. You can see that we have been trying to embellish it but usually it is coming of just like that, with add ons. We are open to a different direction or another version of these that have evolved. I apologize for adding difficulty but this is a new company and we are excited to start off strong. Thank you and I look forward to seeing your ideas.

Is anyone familiar with the joebob font dear joe 5 alternatives. They have a great lower case F that works with an all lower case word fringe. I would love to see what anyone could do with this.
