HI there,

Hope this finds you well and having a good week so far?

Here are some of my submissions ...

What I think is important for the branding is keep some consistency, so that people come to recognise that both logos are part of a "family". So to do this, I've kept the tree (and made it the gold colour you referenced), and kept the lettering for "Fred Smith" ... Since this is the main part of the name, I think its good to keep that through all permutations.

And to make it different I've tried multiple positions, but also tried different fonts for the words "Custom Homes".

If you'd like to see any changes, please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll happily work them up.

Cheers

Thanks. While I understand the part about keeping consistency, we are really looking for something that stands out on it's own. We want this new logo to be unique but still compliment the corporate logo.

A good example of this is McCafe ( http://media.smashingmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/mccafe.jpg ) The logo feel like a high end and hip version of McDonalds. It's a brand that stands on it's own. The McCafe logo and McDonalds logo can be used on the same page without it looking repetitive.

Thanks for the feedback and comments, always appreciated!

Something like these maybe: #25 and #26?

Everyone loves #25 great job. However, a few people have said it looks like a silhouette of a man's face. Could you edit the tree a little so it's not so much like a man's face? Thanks!

Hi there,

Thanks for the comments, great to hear everyone loves it :)

Not a problem at all, here are a few variations that hopefully eliminate that problem:
#65, #66, #67, #68, #69, #70 and #71

I think bringing in or rather showing the stem helps (#66 and #67), or we could introduce two trees and show a bit of depth perception (#70 or #71)

Look forward to your comments.

Cheers

Thanks for sending over the final files. If you don't mind, please provide me also with the following.

1) Reversed version of this (in case we ever use this against a white background)
2) A black and white version (for embroidery, etc)
3) Some people are still debating if we should move the tree over a little more. If you could provide me with a version of the logo that has the tree on a separate layer, I can then move the tree around and make the clipping mask after we settle on the actual placement.

Thanks again for all your great work!
