Thanks for the submissions and comments. Here are my thoughts:

Wordmark: #12 I like the feeling and weight of this font. I like the visual distinction between "Founder" and "Wise". I would like to see what this would look like all in green or all in blue with maybe different shades rather than different colors. I am not saying the green/blue combo is bad, just that I would like to compare. My favorite so far.

Letterform #12: Thanks for taking the risk with a pictorial mark.  I do like the arrow, but not the little guy. Maybe put the letters FW inside instead of the little guy? The letters would probably have to be a bit bigger if you do for legibility.

Wordmark #19 & #20: I like the 3d nature, though is seems more muted in #20, is that correct? I like the visual distinction between "Founder" and "Wise". On #19, I do not care for the reflection, or the horizontal glare through the center of the words. I like the weight of the font. I am not so sure about “Wise” being in gray – it looks a little dull, especially in comparison to your other two designs.

Wordmark #22: I like the visual tie between the wordmark and letterform. I like the visual distinction between "Founder" and "Wise". I like the weight of the font. I do not care for the reflection. Overall I think I would prefer a less blocky font, more like your #12, though this font does give a feeling of “stable foundation” and that is interesting.

Letterform #22: I like the visual tie between the wordmark and letterform. I do not care for the reflection. I think the box is too light toward the top. I don’t think I like the horizontal wave line, but that might be because the top is so light in comparison. Nice and simple overall. I like it.

Thanks for the revisions and submissions!

Here’s what I have learned about the wordmarks.

Color: I like all green best (like #22 or #62 ). A very close second is green/blue (like #64 or #12 ). I don’t really like all blue (#63 )

Font: I like the font in #62 best, followed by the font in #22. #62 feels current, creative, friendly; #22 feels solid, knowledgeable, reliable.

------

Revisions I would like to see:

On #62 and #64, could you please move the “Founder” and “Wise” closer to each other, more like the spacing in #22 or #68?

On #22, could I please see that in green/blue?

Experiments I’d like you to play with and post what you think looks good: (please try only one variation on each of these ideas and so I can see if I like them before going on – they really are experiments)

Shading: The current shading of those in font style like #63 seems to be darker in upper left and lower right and lighter in between. What about shading that is more vertically oriented? Like darker at the bottom and lighter at the top (like your #66) or reversed, lighter at the bottom darker at the top? Or even with no shading.

3D: What would a design like #62 look like with more 3D effect?

Shadow: What would a design like #62 look like with shadowing behind it like it was floating above the page?

------

Here are some general other comments about your other submissions – no need for revisions on these, just giving you my opinions so you can learn my preferences better):

In #65 and #66 I think there is to big a difference in the font thickness, and the thicker font is too heavy feeling.

Thanks for experimenting with font in #67 – unfortunately I don’t care for it, it seems to airy and rounded, insubstantial.

I also don’t really care for the font in #68 – it is too wide and rounded for my taste.

Great progress. I really appreciate your responsiveness.

#89 is my current favorite of yours. I like the top-light, bottom-dark shading best. The only thing I can think of to experiment with here is shadowing, however not like #94 or #05 which seemed to create a white border around the letters. I would like to see just the current logo looking like it is floating over the page.

#91 is my second favorite of yours. Could I please see it with the top-light, bottom-dark shading like in #89?

#87 is my third favorite. Could I please see an all green version of it?

As a side note, thanks for trying the 3d effects – I did not like them as much as I thought I might. Sorry.

One process related note, I put all the subtle variations at the bottom of the ranking, not because I don’t like them, but rather because the best of them is already high in the rankings – is this the right thing to do?

Thank you for all of the revisions!

As we come to the end I want to add all of the elements together to see what they might look like.
I would like to see the following new versions please:

First, start with #89 and make the font coloring similar to #188, which looks a little darker to me. Then, add the letterform from #193 to the left of the wordmark and change the color to match the wordmark. Finally, add the slogan, like in your #66 under the wordmark in a gray color.

Second, start with #191 and keep the wordmark the way it is. Then, add the letterform from #193 to the left of the wordmark and change the color to match the wordmark. Finally, add the slogan, like in your #66 under the wordmark in a gray color.

Third, start with #193, move the letterform to the left of the wordmark and add the slogan, like in your #66 under the wordmark in a gray color.

Finally on the pictorial mark – thanks for making the changes I suggested, but they did not turn out like I thought. I still like the concept of the image of growth, but the arrow element seems too dominant and the letters too small. If you are willing to continue to experiment, I would like to see variations. Here are a couple of ideas:
I like the arrow coloring of #194 best, then #202 better than #205.
What if the arrow emerged from the bottom of the “F” in the letters “FW” and just went across the bottom and up on the right on one version?
I think I would like the “F” and the “W” to be the same height.
Maybe a version with a narrower arrow and thicker/bigger letters?
Clearly I am not a designer :-) though maybe something in these ideas might give you some direction.

Thanks!

Let me know your thoughts about positioning the elements.

Thanks for the revisions. I understand the pictorial mark will take more time. I do like the positioning of the slogan better in #237. Thanks for experimenting.

#237, #234 and #233 are my current favorites of yours.

Could you please make a version of #234 and #233 with the motto like in #237?

Also, in each of these, the letterform seems a little overbearing. What if it was the same height as the “F”? Or what if it was the same height of the “FounderWise” plus the slogan and the top of the “FounderWise” and the letterform were aligned? Please try these or other ideas you have on one of the designs (like #234) before doing all designs so I can see which idea I might like.

Thanks!

Thank you for making the changes.

One more small request – could you please make a version of #269 where the colors are like in your #233? Everything else remains the same, just change the colors.

Also, please make the background just plain white, like your other ones.

Thanks!
