Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - Anatomy - logo should include something that conveys that we manage feet and ankles
#2 - Surgery/medical - logo could show that we work closely with surgeons/doctors to rehab surgical patients
#3 - Recovery - logo could be suggestive of speedy recovery/better function/less pain

Our Target Audience:

Patients with foot and ankle problems looking for a podiatrist. This will include people with painful or deformed feet, as well as patients rehabilitating after surgery on their feet/ankles.

Color Preferences

We would be happy with a multi-coloured design. To date we have used blue, green and black.

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

I think the logo design should incorporate a foot - this may be an abstract drawing suggestive of a foot shape, or a more well defined outline of foot shape. It should probably be on the more simple side, without too much detail (ie doesn't need to have bones of the foot).
Given that we specialise in foot and ankle rehab after surgery, something that ties into the medical/surgical side would also be good. Possibly the medical symbol of the caduceus (staff of Hermes).
An alternative to the caduceus could be the traditional orthopaedic surgery symbol of a tree that is braced to make it grow straight, with that image somehow incorporating or melding into the shape of a foot.
The logo also needs to include the text "Foot & Ankle Rehabilitation Clinic".
