Let's try a grey or tan/sand dollar/beige or light beige/khaki background color, designs without the sun or anything not typical to Florida and would love to see your creativity!! VIP letters should be a different font and larger and different colors. Maybe try to make three colors in the VIP part, such as white, tan/beige and maybe an orange/goldenrod color. See http://bathurstcoastalproperties.com/ they have "bcp" letters, but I do not want it on a black background... medium grey maybe?? You can choose. Actually the color of the "p" looks similar to the logotournament website's logo.
