We offer marketing and Web consulting services in a way that is creative, warm and friendly but not clownish, cartoonish or jokey and we provide Website and application development that is smart, accessible and professional without being stuffy or buzzword/jargon heavy.

Nothing straightforward - colors should be mixed - probably with a little grey so they feel sophisticated without being dreary. There's a fine line between a very appealing light green and one that looks like vomit. I'm counting on the designer's eye to make that choice.

Nothing bright - like a super bright red or hyperlink blue.
Nothing scary - like an ominous black/grey or daggers or teeth.
Nothing like easter pastels - its not a game company or fantasy land.

These are top firms successfully competing in the space at the level I want to reach but am not there yet. Check the strategy and use of colors but make sure the logo is not derivative because it will be unusable:
