Family Dental NetworkLogo Design Contest

#3 & #5, It is nice how the Family image has been incorporated as well as the image that represents an "encompassing network" which we will provide to our members. It was also nice to see how you incorporated the "FDN" Monikers into the logo, very nice.

#2-Nice but a little too "Tooth" focused. We would like to focus more on the "Network" and the benefits that we will be providing to our members (patients and dentists) rather than focusing on "Teeth" as most people don't actually think about going to the Dentist as a positive experience and we would like to change that.

#6 & #7- Like the new "kid and family friendly" logos.

#7, Can you please try using a different font for the words "Family dental network" as we are not crazy about this font. Can you also please try using a different color or colors for the words in the name "Family dental network", perhaps a red or something to liven it up a little more? Thanks

#3 & #5- Can you please use different font/lettering for the company name "Family Dental Network" as the letters are not clear and the "K" in "Network" looks like an "H". Thanks

We would ike to start seeing some Logos that incorporate our name "Family Dental Network" into the design and not simply just written outside the Logo.

Would also like to see some examples that use a curved or circling motion, (like name going around a globe or a family or "FDN" or wrapping around something) to help incorporate the company name into the main part of the Logo.

#21 & #22- A little too spacey and futuristic looking.

#15 & #13- Would it be possible to see soome versions of these Logos that are a little "softer" and little more "fun" looking and not so "serious" looking as a large portion of our customers will be females, families with children and then Dentists who cater to these audiences?

#6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12- We initially liked the "fun" child-like nature of these designs but received some feedback from our committee saying that the figures holding hands reminded them of the very scary movie "Blair Witch Project". Since we are working in a family industy, we can't use any images that suggest scary movies.

#28 & #29- We really want to focus on the "Network" and "Family" part of our business for our Logo design and not focus on "Teeth" as I mentioned in an earlier post as most people do not typically think of teeth and dental as a "positive" experience and we do not want to remind them of this. Thanks

#23- Not really sure what this is supposed to represent.

To All Designers- Would love to see some very "happy", "family-friendly" logo designs that will appeal to the females, moms and kids who will be searching the site and using the "Network".

#30- Great new design. Can you please try adding some different colors to make it more fun (like eBay, Google, or Yahoo Logos). Perhaps make the people different color(s) or make the "FDN" Blocks different color(s).

#34, #32 & #36- Great new concept and design. Looks similar to a TV Network logo, great new idea that we had not thought of and we are now thinking of new ideas based on your Logo design. Can you please reduce the font size (shrink) of "Family Dental" so it is not so large and bulky? Also, can you please try some different color combinations to make it a little more fun? Please see comments above for #30.

#36- Please make change font color of "Family Dental" to Black and make font smaller and less bulky.

#37- Thanks for the entry, however, this design reminds our committee of someone opening their mouth and saying "Ahhhh" to get a "check-up".

Many people do not currently enjoy going to the Dentist office.. We are trying to not to remind them of this in our Logo and want to create a positive/fun/happy image and help people think of the "Network of Benefits" they will receive by being a member of our Network. For patients, they will receive such things as (Discounts on services, dining (food), entertainment, trave) Dentists will receive such things as, discounts on Equipment, Supplies, etc. for being a member of the "Network".

#40 & #41-Like the new colors. Can you please make the word "Network" a little smaller and the words "Family Dental" just a little larger so it looks a little more balanced. Can you also try a version using simillar lettering to what you used in #30 but maybe use the new color schemes?

#39- Can you please make the word "Network" smaller to be a little more balanced with the other words and maybe use a different color than gray (maybe black or something else)?

#42, 43, 44 & 46- For some reason, these new lower case letters used for "Dental" seem really thick and clumsy/awkward. Think we like a little cleaner look of your previous versions.

#42- Like how you moved the "FDN" on top over to the right. It makes the Logo more compact, tight and fit together nicely.

#44 & #46- Not crazy about the life ring in "Network" as it seems to make the Logo get too "Busy" looking.

#39 & #52- Perhaps try a version where "FDN" look like children's building blocks with one on top (F) and (D) & (N) on the bottom. Can you please also try making the green person a little more "Lime" green versus "Olive" green? Can you please also try a version with the "FDN" blocks above or below the "People"?

#39- Can you please try with letters not in Italics and please make the word "Network" another color than Gray, perhaps Black, Red, or Green.

#71 & #72- Can you please make the tooth paste tubes more colorful, we want this to be happy and cheerful. Also, could you also try one that includes a tooth brush with the tooth paste tubes, instead of just tooth paste tubes?

#63,64,65,67,68,69,76,&78-Please see previous comments, we do not want to use any logo with a "tooth" design. Every Dentist and Dental related business uses a "Tooth" and we want to be different and we are really a network of benefits for both Dentists and Patients. Thanks.

Yes, we added some days. It was a holiday weekend here in the U.S. when the content originally ended and several members of our Logo Selection Committee were on vacation.

Also, yes,we are a little concerned about the Tournament as we have left quite a bit of feedback but no one seems to be reading it. For example, we mentioned in previous feedback that we did not want a logo with a "Tooth" in it but had to extend the tournament because we received so many new designs with a "Tooth" in it when we said no "Tooth".

Another example is that we asked several times if the font on #39 could be changed so that the lettering was not in Italics and so the word "NETWORK" was not in Gray but a different color (Black, Red, or something else) so it was not so dull. However, we still have not seen any designs with either of these requested changes.

We are trying to leave lots of feedback to help guide the design process but yes, we were a little frustrated so had to extend the contest..

#59 & #81- Can you please add some color or change colors and please make sure fonts are legible.

#53- Can you please change the font used in the lettering so the "A'" in "Family" and "Dental" does not look like a "Greek Roman Numeral". Can you also try a more compact version where "Family Dental" is on one line?

#103, #104, #105, #106-These designs might just be a little too playful and childlike. Our company is a Network that provides Benefits to both Dentists and Patients (the public as consumers will view our site as a Portal). Thanks.

#96- We like how you have captured the "Network" concept that is used by the Mobile Phone companies and "Networks". Similar to those Mobile "Networks", we are a Network that provides benefits to Dentists and to patients (the broad consumer) and will look at our site like a "Portal" to the Benefits we provide.

#96- Perhaps try some different color combinations as the lettering, especially in the word "Family" fades out and is difficult to read clearly. Thanks.

#118 - Can you try a design or two that makes a bit more emphasis on the "network". To us the key words are Network then Family then Dental. Thanks!

#118- Please do a design where the words "Family Dental" are on the left of the People design and place the word "Network" in larger font underneath all of it. Please also try a design with the word "Family" on the left of the People, with the word "Dental" on the right of the People with the People design in the Middle of both words and the word "Network" in larger font size below it all. Also, please make the people inside the box more "family" friendly lookng and not so robot looking.

We want to condense and make the Logo as compact as possible and make it clean. Thanks.

#112- Please make the Family with Toothbrush logo just a little larger. Then, please place the word "Dental" under the word "Family" and then put the word "Network" in larger font below everything. Thanks.
