We are now want to be able to interchange the client family's last name initial "S" for Smith, or "J" for Jones, with our initials "FBO" in the logo, to add a personalization to each family's stationary. The name Family Business Office will remain, and should still be most prominent. Therefore the shape containing our initials "FBO" should most likely be symmetrical (round, square, diamond, etc), so the a single letter will look as good as the "FBO" in the same space. (Many of you have already done that). We would also consider a logo with only the name "Family Business Office"

FBO or fbo smaller in the logo is better, and the words "Family Business Office" should be prominent. I'm thinking of trying to modernize somewhat, but still maintain a classic look. (fbo.com)
