Really like #11 but can't see it applications because of the black background and #10 isn't nearly as stong t hough more flexible. #2 is much too old style. #s 3 and 4 look like "ED" instead of EC. #12 and 13 have stong potential but again they havve that E- D thing going on. the symbol in #s14 and 15 isn't strong enough though I can see what the designer is trying to accomplish. Th symbols in 5-9 feel pretty ordinary.

17, 18, and 19 are OK but the symbol doesn't real say "E", "C" to me. The use of the drop shadow in 18 and 19 does add interest and creates a nice feeling.

There is a consistently high-level of design being shown in all of the ranked designs. As the CH, I must admit I am very impressed and confident that we are moving closer to a final result. Thank you for all of the great effort that is being out. DavidOwen

And now there are two: #121 and #104. In the last few days the number of submissions and the quality of the designs has been outstanding. Many, many years ago, I too was a graphic designer but then went into architecture and ultimately became a businessman. I remember back to my design days and how frustrating it was presenting designs to clients or prospects. Since they lacked any genuine design training their decisions were often arbitrary, capricious and sometimes decided by their 11 year old child. As this process has enfolded, I have tried to judge the designs by several elements important to me: first, is the symbol unique and memorable; second, does the symbol express a professional services company where peers share their knowledge; third, does the logo work in different applications such as web, business cards, promotions and so on; fourth, does the logo work in black and white as well as gray-scale? Of course, in the end most choices come down to "does this feel right and look good?"
Other than the two that are ranked at this time, I have moved all of the others to the "not interested" stack. There are several that with the right tweaking could be real contenders.
