Please check my #7, #8, #9, #10 logo proposals. In my designs I changed a bit the main logo by making cross's corners rounded in order to look more inviting and friendly. Secondly I placed icon inside a green rectangle, with also round corners, to portray the Welsh character of the church and also make design more modern (green and red make a nice color contrast).
The type font is clean and bold so you won't have issues when logo is in small size.
I'm open to some ideas. Is it possible to bring the idea of growth and life into the logo by making it more 'organic'? Keeping the same parts - bible, cross, sun, but developing how they fit together. The sun as part of the logo is another way to go. It was prominent in the logo back in the 50s as people liked the idea of a 'new dawn'. I like the idea of re-introducing it in some way.
Thanks for the latest logos. I like the style of them. My worry is that the Bible looks a little like the land (underneath a sunset) - is it possible to make it look more like a Bible?
This is great. The Bible is much clearer. Really appreciate the work. The sunrise in the background does two things - 1 - Gives an idea of life and experience and 2 - gives idea of community. In #53 and #54 we have lost a little of the idea of community - I'm not sure why - maybe it's beacuse in the original logo it looks as if the light is in the background and is bigger than the cross and Bible - where in these designs the light looks smaller - as if it's coming out of the Bible?
Exactly, light coming out of the Bible, that I was trying to portray but as I see sun/light has a dual meaning for you. So I submitted #55 version in which light surrounds cross and Bible to give the sense of community. Do you like it better?
Could you try out introducing the yellow into the design? Not sure if it will work - but would be nice to have a look. Would also be nice to see how #55 and #56 would look with the new cross (#130) in balck and red
Regarding #131 - could you change the line under church to yellow - and swap the colour of the bible with the cross. We are worried that the cross is too dark in the middle, but like the contrast with the bible.
Thank you for all the variations. Could we try the #173 logo with the typography of #54 with a red underline. Could you also create a version with a straight line (red and narrow) between the name and the strapline.
We like th #177 - but could we have three changes please. 1 - Serving the Church from #135 - without the line underneath 2 - Sort out the kerning (spacing between characters). In particular, note the wide gaps between the V and A in “Evangelical” and the W and A in “Wales”. 3 - Make sure that the long red line - serving the church - and evangelical is exactly the same width Another comment that came was that the position of the back circle is great - but is it possible to have rays coming from the Bible - as opposed to the centre of the circle. If this is impossible then we understand. Thanks
Please check my #179, #180, #181 logo revisions. I'm not sure if I've managed to portray what you've envisioned about the rays coming out from the Bible...
I'll submit logo's other versions very shortly. Regarding bilingual version I think that we should not use tag lines because it will look busy. Do you agree?
Please check #182, #183, #184, #185 logo versions. In initials versions I placed the tag lines but if you want I can remove them and write the initials vertically. I'll wait for your comments.
