Thank you everyone for the wonderful submissions so far!

Many of them are so close, but not hitting target with me yet. I wish I could be more expressive of what I am looking for. Maybe this will help:

Eureka Canyon is a road in Corralitos, CA. Its a beautiful place. Its one of those roads that people seek to go drive on weekend backcountry driving. Its also sort of rugged and a little bit mysterious. Its mostly near the redwoods, but its also not far from the coast (Santa Cruz, CA) so images of the sea work as well as do images of redwoods. As do basic rural images. A scan through the link I provided should give an indication of the environs. And while you are free to use my images for this purpose, you don't need to. You can stylize the images or otherwise be inspired by them, or not use them at all.

I seem to be leaning more towards the less corporate images. Most illustrations aren't working for me. I also like an air of whimsy or unusual. But I also want to be taken seriously as a photographer. Is it too much to ask for both whimsy and serious in a logo? ha!

I'd also like something simple.

and colorful.

and since I'm an artist, something that is special and unique.

So, looking for a colorful, simple logo that conveys that I am a serious artist with a lighthearted touch that is inspired by the beautiful place I live in. And I want people to feel like they are getting something special when they purchase my work.

I see several designs now that are hitting closer to home for me. I'm almost bummed that the contest will end soon!

I extended the contest a little. I was too busy this weekend to review some of the latest entrants and wanted time for that.

Just a note for any possible last minute submissions - I'm probably not interested in seeing more designs with my photo on top and logo variations on the bottom. I'm open to any other concepts!
