What We Do
I am an editorial, commercial and advertising photographer based in Houston working nationally and internationally.

Color Preferences
A lot of photographers, especially photojournalists, tend to use red and black. I want to stay away from those colors to help my logo stand out.
I like chocolate brown, especially paired with a saturated and bold color like orange or yellow. I'm also open to trying grey paired with some saturated colors like green, blue, orange or yellow.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
PLEASE don't design anything that references a camera, film, lens, etc. I feel that is too literal.
Although I live in Houston, I see my brand as more coastal - San Francisco Bay Area, Pacific Northwest and New York City. Some words to think about are urbane, sophisticated, smart, creative, forward-thinking, well-traveled, literate, artful, clean, elegant but in an art-deco, Bauhaus fashion rather than a rococo style.
The logo should not feel corporate. It should be fresh and modern and appeal to creative professionals
also nothing too web 2.0. I'm not a software company. I want my logo to reflect the creative nature of my business, but not reference photography literally.
I would like to see 'emblem' designs. I like the idea of the logo being contained in some sort of shape.
