It appears you've reviewed my comments about the other logo designs - and you listened!
I like the colors, the font is cool, the $ signs are legible and aren't overpowered by the gears. Cool! And, that digital explosion of the one gear in #18 is really cool... although it might not come out very clearly when compressed to a size small enough to put on a business card.
The 3D look of #18 is interesting... it's what I thought I wanted, but I'm not sure which I prefer of yours now...
What other ideas do you have? Is there something totally unique that you can create? How about something with silver and/or gold, and maybe some of the other colors too?
I just got back from holdiays, and I'm catching up on work now. I still haven't chosen a winner for this logo design contest, and I really like some of your new ones! Tied for my favorite, actually!
Your #63 and #64 are fantastic. I love the contemporary simplicity, classiness, "out of the box" (thinking) arrow, colors, and gradients!
There isn't a stong or cliche 'engineer' symbolism in there, but that's good with me. Most designers went way over the top with that word, which really isn't all that relevant to this business (except for a little background in that field).
Is there a way to tweak them a little bit? Have you looked at how some stock charts are drawn or shown? It seems like you have, which is great. I'm really picky, though, and I'd prefer if you could try switching the blue and grey colors in #63.
Normally, when finalcial / stock market ex[erts create charts like that, the blue (or sometimes green) would be shaded *underneath* the trendline. And, the top could either be all white, a lighter blue, or a grey. And, if the shading underneath is blue, then typically the trendline itself is a darker blue. Is that possible for you to do, and still make the design look cool?
Maybe you can put a white gap just above the dark blue arrow, then the grey gradient shading above that. How would that look?
For examples of these types of charts, try doing a google (picture) search online, for stock chart. In the results you'll see a few of them shaded, as I described above.
And, I like the gold too... is there a way to use that with the blue and grey, somehow? Maybe even as a background color, or something with the text, or something...
Thanks!
... Can you still submit new designs, even though the site tried to end the contest?
Oh, and can you try to make the 'Wealth' word stand out a bit more? Maybe you could try making it darker, or stretch it wider, or a larger font, or capitalize it, or a different color, or whatever you think works.
Ok, yeah, I just learned that... sorry, it's my first time using this site... I was away for, out of the country for more than 2 weeks... just getting caught up on things...
It's between you and another guy right now. I've put you both in the ranked section, and it looks like his went into #1 since I dragged it in there first. But, don't worry, I haven't made up my mind. I need to have it ranked there so he can sumbit a revision(s), then I'll switch it so you're #1, then you can submit your revision(s).
Hello Shane, I am ready to submit my revision. My logo works well on dark background also on monotone and easy to be printed in various media. Thank you.
Very cool. Yeah, that black looks really sharp. Although, it looks like it's not completely black... maybe from the lighting on the logo from your software. But, that might still work on the business cards... I'll have to see how it fits in.
Would it be possible to get another one, which would be a combination of these recent versions? I like the continuous blue arrow from #149. Can you add a grey gradient (or lighting, or whatever) to the top of the box, and do a ligher blue gradient to the bottom of the box, under the arrow?
And, is there a way to make the (blue) text stand out a bit more? Maybe put a bit of a light under it, or an outline of the text, or lighter color, or something?
Oh, there's #150 now! Sweet! Just saw that one. I like the use of the gold in there. I was actually thinking it might be cool to have another color in there, like that. Can it work on a black background too?
Oh, and it seems like most of the business cards on Vistaprint are geared towards more squarish shapes, for uploadable logos. So, based on this, it would probably work better for that to have the text under the logo.
I'm liking the look of the gold, with gradient, WEALTH text. Would it work to put a silver gradient on the engineered text? I'm just thiking that the one word looks a bit pale compared to the other.
I'm really digging your #155. The colors really pop out, the golden arrow is really cool (with symbolism too), and the gradients look really polished!
... actually, is there a way to put a bit (not too much) more of a lighter gradient (or slightly shinier spot) on the tip of that arrow?
Being on the black background, that might help it pop out a bit more. And, it adds to the symbolism of the growing wealth, and out-of-the box strategy of my business too.
It looks like the contest is over (again), and so I'm just taking another look at the designs. Your #157 is still my favorite.
Looking at it today, I'm wondering about the text part of it. Can you sharpen the text a bit, or make it slightly less bold, or something, while maintaining the look? Possibly even using a different font... maybe play with it a bit. It's mostly in the "E" letters where it seems a bit tight, and there's not much space between the gaps... know whta I mean?
And, I'm not sure about how that little sparkle looks now, at the tip of the arrow. The gradient is great, and the colors are great. Is there a way to try it without that little sparkle?
And, just out of curiosity, can you try adding a bit of a reflection under the 'wealth' word? As a reference, a designer who did #60 used this effectively. Actually, I like that font he used too. But, it could be more bold than that... although I'm not sure how well it might work with the box logo you've created.
Oh, and do you design business cards too? I've been playing around on Vistaprint, and I have some ideas, but I can't quite customize it enough to my liking on there.
(Oh, I had to put another guy's design in the top spot for a bit so he can make an adjustment that I wanted to see. But, if he's taking too long, and you're done, post a comment, and if I check it often enough, I might be able to swith you back into the top spot again.)
Yes, I designs business card too #213 - slightly changed, sparkle eliminated and font are sharper. #214 - reflection on the icon #215 - reflection on the text #216 - font version 2 #217 - reflection on the icon #218 - reflection on the text
