I like having the icon and the text seperate like entry 6. I'm not a huge fan of the icon. I suggest spend the most time on the words Embracing Orphans as the logo. If you'd like more info about us check out www.embracingorphans.org

Try using lower case for the fonts, light blue for the word orphans, an orange yellow for the word embracing, and an icon that is a bit more simple. I checked out your work. I think you have some great stuff. The one with the dog paw that you did is really nice.

different approach on a wordmark as requested #9

combined the letter " g " at end with the " s " below it and you can see a smile face with two eyes

Will try other concepts soon

The blue should be a light blue and the orange a bit more yellow. I'd like to see it see it in lower caps too. Great work so far.

Hey Carl,

#11

Made the light blue / more yellow changes

The letter " s " at the end of orphan looks like someone having his arms to contain a child abstract

Let me know your thoughts and i can develop on the concept further.

Thanks,
Kareem

I like the colors and lower case font.

#14 is easy to read and strong. I like it best. The E.O. we would like to stay away from. Our strength is in our name and abbreviating it takes that away. So now it just needs something more. I think an icon seperate from the strong words is what is needed. Think simple strong and like organizations that are in the relief business: World Vision, Food For the Poor, Samaritans Purse, etc.

Nice work.

Hey Carl,

Got you now, thanks for clarifying more as i go and telling me what you like and what you don't like in more specific.

Let me try and work other concepts for you.

PS: You are settled about those color combos right ?

Thanks,

How about this one #15 ?

Here i created the nice wordmark / name that can goes alone and then the mark icon that can go with it or alone or side by side.

The icon is formed from the initials " e.o " and therefore the upper part is highlighted same color as the word embracing " e " and you can see the bottom which is forming the rest of the letter " o " is also forming a child abstract with his head in the center.

Let me know your thoughts,

Thanks,
Kareem

I still like the text, just not excited with the icon. Something that represents a toddler or child, but is simple. It doesn't need the e or o in it.

Thanks,

Carl

The smiley face just doesn't convey enough.

#17 , #18 and #19

Those abstract icons are based on the concept of something embracing another inside of it. It is a sphere with a start like shape inside of it and in later variations i added a head to show a child abstract as well included.

Let me know your thoughts about this mark / abstract.

It is simple, but i guess it convey's a lot of positive messages that are related to what you do.

Thanks,
Kareem

I like the blue in the icon. You might try colors other than the orange too. I like the orange, but if you think there are colors that would look good with light blue please try those as well.

Blessings,

Carl

I like the blue better than the orange after all. It is more inviting, less harsh. Whatever colors work with the light blue, I'd like it to feel safe, not wild. I am still not sure about the icon, the feeling I get first is that it is a bird with it's mouth open. Some abstract graphics bring a person to a real thing first. I wish I had better feedback for the icon, I just know it isn't quite it. You might also try some different fonts.

Blessings,

Carl

I agree with you Carl the Icon looks more bird like its the first thing i see. I would like to see a different Icon and some different fonts in there as well.

Different font and icon #41

Here the icon is a start abstract shape forming a human fully body " head + 2 hands + 2 legs " and the bigger body head is highlighted in dark blue to be able to show up more, then a smaller one color version inside it to refer to the orphan being embraced by your organization

Hope you like it

Logo Designer
here you go, my new concept #50

This is an abstract, where the shape is an abstract of an egg / shell with a head of an orphan appearing inside ( also as an abstract, so you can't tell if its a female / male orphan ) looking upwards with his head tilted to that direction and as if a hand reaching to embrace that orphan

I can add a hint of a world like map in white inside that shape somewhere if you wanted that too.

Let me know your thoughts on this one.

Thanks,
Kareem

Maybe you should try something different than everyone has submitted so far. I've looked over your logos, they are great. However, I feel like I might be limiting you on this one. Maybe something that represents a father, try not having abstract at all. Use simple classic text.

Logo Designer
It is ok, do not worry about it, it is my job after all to meet your requirements and coming up with something creative that suits it.

here is another direction #51

this is obvious to you as two hands embracing something inside of them right ?

yet each hand, looks like a human ( parents ) head with one reaching arm, therefore two different colors and i had a child like abstract inside being embraced.

i can re-work anything and develop it further if you think this has a potential some how.

let me know

Thanks,
Kareem

I really like the two tones of green in the hands. The logo is artistic and is clear on how it relates to our organization. I like the child in #52 best. I also like the simple text that you have chosen. I like that the blue in the child matches up to the word orphans and the green of embracing matches up to the hands. I'm not sure what feedback to give from here. I guess just make some small changes for other options, but I like this the best of what you've shown us so far.

Great work!

Hey Carl,

I am glad that you've liked this one and seen all the things in it clear yourself.

I have tried different variation for the child shape as you can see above, let me know which one works best for you.

But i thought this is really good #56 , because as we can see the two hands embracing, yet forming two adults / parents , etc , having two heads for two orphans in blue in middle makes sense, and their shoulders also look like a smiling lips and their heads being an eye for another instance, but this adds a positive feeling to the logo beside the message.

Let me know which one of those you think works best, so i can show you in one monotone color / black and white, and one as a web 2.0 version with some glossy effects added to it

Thanks,
Kareem

I still like #52 best, and so do our female volunteers, they've ranked it #1. You could try some subtle changes to the child inside the hands, like a rounded torso bottom, etc. I would love to see the black and white and the web version.

Glad to hear that everyone else is liking it like you do.

Here is the fixed rounded bottom to child #57

and here are in black and white #58 and #59

a web 2.0 version is to come for this one

here you go the enhanced web 2.0 version of it with a 3d flare / feel with the lighting effects spot on over the object to give it more depth #60 and #61

here is the logo in large to see the details yourself #62

let me know what you think now

Kareem,

I like these much better. Can you try a couple of different fonts. Simple, with the first letters capitalized, professional, but unique.

Carl

Also, could you try using three tones of blue for the colors and no green?

Sure, will do those now and submit in a while.

Could I see #58 with the only change being to make the word Orphans light blue.

And this is your blue shades version #63 , let me know if its good to go, i will work on the font request now.

I like the boldness and the purposefull uneven-ness (not a word) of #64. Orphans really stands out, but so does the rest. I like the intelligent looking text in #71, but not as much as #64. Is it possible to put the icon into a rectangle, with a black border, text on the bottom, have black the background of the text, keep Orphans light blue, Embracing white, and place your hands icon above it in the white space inside the rectangle? Please send me a message for clarification on this one.

Carl Robanske

I'd like to see #73 increase the font size so that it is the same height as #64 and then make it the same colorization as #64.

Carl Robanske

I like the E from Embracing and the O from Orphans lining up on the Left together.

Carl

I like 90 and 91. I think the line in the perimeter should be thicker and both words should fill up the entire width of the black background.

Here you go #95 and #96 as requested.

I adjusted the lining up of the letters too in earlier entries as requested by you as well.

Let me know if you wanted to see anything else Carl.

Thanks,
Kareem

More black space on the text area so that the perimeter from the top feels like it flows into the text area too. Space out Orphans so that it fills the entire area or make it a thicker text. Also the perimeter could be thicker still.

Nice work,

I think we should stick with #92 or #93. Would you like to try a tag line under the curved line of the hands? The line would read- the Father's Heart

I'll check back in six hours or so. I've got to get some sleep.

Carl Robanske

The tag line looked too much like an after thought. Would you be willing to try and throw a crown tilted on one of the letters in orphan?

Blessings,

Carl

or a yellow or gold crown tilted on the child in the hands

here you go #116 and #117

The golden crown won't be clear in that small version, so i made it blue for one to show.
