Discussion

I chose to keep everything in black and white for now. We can always discuss colors though. I chose to use a stylized stroke for the structure of the building to show grittyness. I also chose a font that has a very deco feel. I think it's appropriate for the era you are going for.

Hi,
I'm confused to your point. This is a model train company. Obviously, use of tracks would seem apparent. I assure you that there was no intention to use your logo in my design.
Good luck. You do very nice work.

I've submitted some new concepts with a less tylized more modern approach to the tracks. I have used perspective which shows that you are going somewhere, perhaps leading the industry. I have also shown the logo using gradients which are great for web as well as a simple solid color approach which is more condusive for print. We can also work with color as you seem fit. Thank You!

Yes Quazzie I understand but what is more apparent is the style of tracks, the curved and the curved angle as well as the textured lines. Please also see the building.

Different perspective and font options.

From the moment I saw your first design with the tracks (#3), I "got it", which is why it's remained ranked in my top 3. Your latest designs all include elements to improve upon this, and convey a sense of a company that is (I hope!) going places.

#3 with that graceful curve shows fluidity in motion. Of all of your designs, I like font used for "Elmira Branch" in #59 the best, whereas the font you've used in #55 for "Manufacturing Company" (with the bar and "Custom Scale Models") looks terrific. As for color, the subtle gray tones you've used in all of your designs look the best to my eyes. I do like the "fade" you've used in #54 and #58; my concern is I may not be able to reproduce these very well if I were to print them with my old but reliable HP inkjet and still do them justice.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I tried to show you with #55 how we could use the logo in a web format showing you gradients and it does look very web. 2.0 as they say. But I also wanted to stick to a simple one color version that would work best as you say for print, especially say t-shirts, mugs, signage, etc, because acheiving gradients for those printing styles is hard to come by if possible. I think it is possible to give you both style of logos. I also like the serif fonts used rather than the bubble round ones but I wanted to show you options and diversity. I think the serif fonts go great with the modern take on the tracks. Thanks again and I am glad you are finding some good prospects!
