Well done! As stated in my general (public) comments, I like the "herald" you've designed in #30; let's see what can be done with a variety of fonts here. The use of a keystone shape instead of the diamond would be appropriate. The reflection shown in #19 might be too heavy, it seems (to me) to be a little bit of a distraction. Oddly, though, it's ok in #22; perhaps because the logo itself is simpler without the track element, so the logo is in better balance.
In #20, you have managed to combine all of the basic elements: industry, railroad, a sense of era, and a herald! Excellent work!
I really like #38, it captures all my ideas. It might be just a little too "busy" for a logo though. Thanks for giving me a number of variants on this.
I'm not sure about the use of the crossbuck, although it certainly conveys an appropriate message. My concern is that when used with all of the other elements the logo will become too cluttered. Perhaps if it weren't quite so prominent. I do like the font and color in #51 and #52. I would like to see "Manufacturing Co.," or "Mfg Co" more prominent; I notice that it has been excluded altogether in #50.
