Hi nong! Thanks for jumping in!

Although the addition of the spoon & fork is creative in #1, I'm not really interested in forks/spoons/knives - they're quite common in food blog logos and I'd like to find something a little different and more creative.

Visually there's a bit too much going on in #2, as there are competing ideas.

The font choice for the "RULES" in #1 and #2 is a little too rough around the edges for my taste.

Hope that helps?

Thanks!

Hi Nong,

After seeing all these variations on my current logo, I'm starting to think it might be better to explore a completely new logo. I'd love to see what other creative ideas you might have with a totally fresh start. :)

Thanks!

Hi Nong,

Thanks for this next round - I'm excited that you just took this all up a level! :)

I *love* the chopsticks in #71 - but unfortunately I don't think it'll work for my site... if I wrote about Chinese food, it'd be awesome. Dang.

I like the look of #72 (nice font choice!), but I'm not quite sure about the stack of plates as a separate icon. Let me sleep on that one tonight and come back to it tomorrow.

#73 also has a nice look, but it's about pie - and since I'm mostly about health I'm not sure that's quite the right message.

Thanks!

Hi Nong,

Thanks for #105 - but it's a little to cute for my taste. It also reminds me of a shirt button, or maybe a battery (with the + and - signs).

Would you consider any badge-style logos? I wonder if you might have some cool ideas on how to turn the whole thing into a badge... Ideally I'd rather have a wordmark or badge, rather than "image+text"...

Thanks,
Andrew

Nong -

I keep thinking about #71 - I think it's absolutely what I'm looking for in a logo, except for one thing: It conveys the wrong style of food (since it's chopsticks, it's too specific for an American food blog about mostly American food).

But what I love about it is the simple elegance of the solution you've found. By moving adding just one line, it conveys a whole ton of information. That's my favorite kind of logo. Simple, elegant, classy, and smart... So I'd love to see any other ideas you have along these lines (no pun intended!).

Thanks again,
Andrew

#152 subtle tongue in 'S'

Hi Nong,

The fried eggs are a lot of fun, but I don't know if they quite work. It's probably a little too subtle in #154 and a little too obvious in #155...

I do like the new "g" options in #175 and #176...

Several friends have also responded positively to #71 but we all agree it doesn't work because of the Asian theme. BUT, one friend just suggested trying to do that with stalks of grain instead. Since my first eating rule is to always eat whole grains, thematically that could work. Want to give that a try?

Thanks! :)

I like it! (#184) Need to sleep on it, but I really like it! :)

Thanks for the updated egg in #185 too. I kind of like that it turns into a little character/eyeball. Not sure if it's quite the right way to go, but it's cool. :)

Hi Nong,

I'm loving #184... however, one friend made a comment that when the logo is small, the detail of the grain stalk gets lost and it's a little confusing to what it is. I wonder if there's a way to tweak it so it's a little more functional at a smaller size (while keeping it nice for the larger size, of course).

I'm curious to know what you think?

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi nong,

I received feedback from one friend who doesn't like how the "eatingrules" all blends together in lowercase.

Could you maybe experiment with some different variations of #184, including capitalizing the "E" and the "R" ? Maybe a different font? Not sure if that's the right way to go, but if you have some ideas on that I'd appreciate seeing them.

Thanks!

Hi nong,

Thanks for those additional versions -- but I think you had it right the first time with #184. :)

I've just started roughing in a new design with the logo to see if it's going to work, and I'm really liking it. I think it's time to officially select it as the winner. Yay!

Thanks,
Andrew
