Are you able to provide some crest or emblem examples that would include an image or outline of a Duke?

I will try to integrate the image of a Duke ... but maybe that image is strong because remain simple.
We'll try.
The symbol of the King (English) is the Lion ... there's no information about Dukes.

The only English Duke is the "Duke of Normandy", called William the Conqueror (French: Guillaume le conquérant), king of England. (1042).

I had to design myself a Duke with a horse... we can't use existing images.

What you have done is fine.

Are you able to come up with different examples of a emblem logo. Incorporating the crest and text you have created so far? Possibly using the white red and greyscale combination or red, blue and grey combo?

Use your imagination!

Maybe coming up with completely different angles. More modern and abstract possibly?

This a brilliant example of something along the lines that could further your design.

Keep in mind you could do a silhouette doing different poses on the horse or something along those lines.

You definitely on the right path but please don't hesitate in incorporating a modern and abstract direction.

Are you able to remove the UK in the emblem and put the man on the horse in the middle?

Keep the crown on top as well as the lions but also try and add some more modern aspects of design to the emblem. Like a taxi from england mirrored on both sides or a buckingham palace guard etc.

Kind of like these examples:

But try combining the blue red and grey like you have used on the other designs.
