Doctoral programme in wildlife biology research - LUOVALogo Design Contest

Dear Lingayoni17,

Thank you for your design! Could you try a different colour scheme for it? We have wished for colours that remind of the Finnish forest (green and brownish colours).

And the font in LUOVA could be a little bit bolder. And maybe something that is slightly round. I don't mean 'Arial round' or something else that is commonly used but something that you don't see very often.

I think the font is the best in #80. Do you think it was possible to have that little roundness you have in the A and V also in the letter L?

And about the illustration to the left of the text. The logo should work also if it is printed in black and white. Do you think this will?

Also, we had a look at all the designs with the board of the programme on Friday and they wondered that some other animal would be better than the bear as the bear is already in so many logos. One person suggested to use the eagle owl as it is regarded as a wise animal and thus would suit the university world.

The head of the school would like to see more abstract logos with a link to nature. I don't know exactly what that could be... Perhaps some detail from the nature... A close-up to the wise eyes, beak and ears of the eagle owl?

Thanks for #99! It is really clever! Could you try a few different colour versions? The eye of an eagle owl is yellow or a bit orange so it would be nice to see if it works on the logo as well. So could you try making the round green bit closer to the real eye colour? And then the animals could perhaps be green (a bit darker green). And the LUOVA text and the eyebrow could perhaps be a bit warmer tone of brown...

We were also wondering what the little animal above the bear is. Some said a whale and some a dolphin. Could you try a fish (perhaps the salmon) instead?

Hi again,

Sorry for being quiet for a little while! We have been discussing the ideas with our board. We were wondering if you could draw a version without the Finland in the eye but instead a normal twinkle. And also, perhaps leave the mini-animals out in that version. Without the animals the green line could go a bit further. We have a bit mixed opinions on having the little Finland and the animals in the logo so it would bee good to see the other option as well.
