Thanks all far getting some interesting designs up so quickly. I will do a proper ranking in the morning after having a fresh look with my partner.

A few notes...

Try and avoid the thin lines or cracks in the lettering. This logo will appear in film and video and those thin lines tend to strobe or judder a bit.

As much as I think King is a great name, I'm not a big fan of the crowns. I'm not saying leave them out entirely but perhaps provide alternatives without them. Chances are I will lean towards a logo without a crown but you never know.

Along with crowns, another icon to avoid would be anything relating to a camera, projector or film sprockets or reels.

I like the edginess of some of the designs but be careful of looking too much like a horror movie poster. I want to be cool and hip, but not scary and deteriorating.

I will also try to leave specific feedback on each design as they come in. (within reason) If I send something to the "not interested" bin I'll try and let you know why.

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

Thank you all once again for such great work. I am shooting all day Saturday but will work on the rankings and additional feedback on Saturday night.

One thing to keep in mind is that the logo will need to work as a white on black (for film) as well as a black on white (for print).

I Don't know what I did to deserve 230+ designs but you guys have been AWESOME!

I've tried my best to keep up with feedback and rankings but over the past 24 hours it's gotten away from me. I don't know how much more I can do before the contest ends in a couple hours but know that all original, viable designs will get ranked.

And now, the hard part.

My partner and I will be sitting down this evening to hammer out our decisions and declare the winner.

From what I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong, outside of the top 10, rankings are still appreciated but all count for the same number of points? Due to the sheer number of entries, after the top 10 I plan on giving all quality, original entries a ranking but not in any particular order. Is that cool?

Also, if there was a submission of the same design in both black and in white, I'm just going to rank one of them.

Yes, you are correct. The first 3 spots are awarded the most points as well as a trophy, then places 4-10 are ranked from 5 to 3 points and everything after that gets 1 point regardless of where they are ranked. Have fun! And thanks for taking the time!
