Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

Hi,

#1 and #4 have part of our original idea --> but cyberlightning should connect 2 places.

What we would like to see is 2 skyscrapers connected with purple lightning --> lightning hitting another building. We are operating in 3D world so 3D effect might be interesting (if possible?).

Also one idea was to make the word cyberlightning look like a lightning.

We prefer purple but also those pictures with blue are quite nice.


We encourage all designers to present new (even wild) ideas too. The logo shouldn't though be too complicated. It would be also good that the logo itself would present what cyberlightning means (teleporting from place to place) - but this is not a absolute must.

Haven'n yet also seen the word cyberlightning modified to look like a lightning.

"3D mobile networked virtual world" is the key theme.

This will be a very close contest!!!

Cyberlightning is developing 3D operating system / user interface for advanced mobile devices like Nokia's Meego devices or Android + iPhone mobile phones. The change to 3D used interface will be same as the evaluation from dos/command prompt to 2D graphics interface like Microsoft Windows or Apple OS X.X.

i.e. Second Life or RealXtend virtual worlds will give info on how the 3D world operates - One has also his/her Avatar in that world.

Different applications will give content to 3D virtual world. A music room where one can share playlists and invite friends to visit or a conference room where one can share presentations etc. are examples of applications. The world can be created as a bunch of skyscrapers where one can go from floor to floor to and use different applications. If one likes cars he could copy a floor / application from i.e. BMW or Ferrari. Entities and companies as well as individuals can have own skyscrapers where they can allow others to visit (and buy/give goods). If one want's to visit another skyscraper then he/she can teleport him/herself there - We call this teleporting function CYBERLIGHTNING. Social interaction, networking and friends are also important in creation of supreme user experience.

We are a software company and our business model is based on licensing. Our customers are software providers, mobile phone vendors, teleoperators, advertisers and consumers (via mobile applications portals - like apple store).

One more thing: Cyberlightning is more B2B company brand. Consumer products have different names.

I'm waiting for our team's draft rankings. We'll give position points to favorites (each of us will pick 10 top logos) and I'll update the ranking accordingly.

This is NOT yet any kind of final ranking - new entries welcome! ...and the ranking will most probably still live during the final hours.

At the moment I'd say that there is at least 7 designers who all have quite equal chance to win the contest.

I guess it will take some 3 hours for me to get the team's rankings - I'll also then give individual comments and modification proposals.

One thing - I've seen many balls in logos - that ball could be earth? with white and blue?

Just updated the ranking - though we had some misunderstanding with logo# and rank#.... ranking might change a bit when we correct...

Overall situation at the top almost in place - will update asap when our internal ranking fixed...

We have no at least 13 candidates for top positions!!!

We'll decide the winner with the team just before the contest ends - It will be votes from each team member to top logos... then we combine the results and make the final election.

Our team has talked on the logos and we ended the contest. We will continue the discussion now with brandito and modify the current leader #116.

As it is new year's eve - we decided to leave the final ranking of the logos until next week.

I will be back online on Monday - Big thanks to all of you for your work!!! It's a shame that only one competitor can win the contest - we got a load of excellent entries.
