Color Preferences
Any colors could work... But we would like to at least one variation of the logo with an ocean blue background since that's what color we are going to paint the food truck.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
A simple. clear logo that would look good on a t-shirt and on the side of a food truck... The words "cut bait café" with lower case letters next to an OCEAN fish (not freshwater). Please position the fish so that it is aiming for a hook and there's a clear connection between the hook and the fish. You might need to give the fish an overbite, rather than an underbite to make this work. Please look at all the images I posted!!

Discussion

We like a more simple design, with an OCEAN (NOT FRESHWATER) fish. I know I said to use a barracuda, but maybe a tuna or something less aggressive and perhaps more colorful would be better. The fish should be positioned so that it looks like there's more connection between the hook and the fish... so that the fish is aiming at the hook. You might need to make the shape of the mouth so it has an overbite (not an underbite) and it's going right at the hook. Also, try using all lower case letters... and the apostrophe to the é in café.

I added a new reference image to give a better idea of how a less aggressive-looking fish would bite on the hook. See image named "b". Thank you to all designers and good luck on getting the win!

Make sure that the fish has at least a little creativity and personality.

Logo Designer
Bartersmart, you are a long time LT client but you may not be aware that LT is now fully blind during open phase only. Desinger cannot see the designs submitted by others until the second phase "Finalist"

During open phase you may see similar design but you should not request changes of one designer and ask the identical change to another. This policy has not changed and could lead to Logo Court resoluions which benefint no one.

Oh yeah, I was not aware that it's fully blind now during the open phase... I'll remove some of my remarks. Thank you for letting me know!!

ATTENTION ALL CONTESTANTS: The logos are being reviewed and ranked as soon as I hear back from my client.... Please do not remove any logos yet... Some of the ones that are not in the top five may be ranked higher as soon as I hear back from my client.... If you are looking for something to do in the meantime, please make sure that you are using a fish that belongs in the ocean and not a freshwater fish, because some of the logos still look like they have fish that look like they like a Bass, not a Tuna, or Marlin, or Mahi Mahi, or whatever ocean fish you want to use...
