Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Definitely like the word marks so far. We're really hoping to have an abstract mark to go along with the words though. We think this will give us some flexibility with printing and online media... Thanks!

Thanks for all the submissions everyone, they're all good and are getting hard to rank.

Had a couple thoughts to provide some focus as the submissions narrow in on target designs:
1) Emphasis of the words 'across town' is preferred over emphasis of 'cross fit' (our individual brand is more dependent on 'across town')
2) the combination of bright green, bright blue, and dark grey is turning out to be very good
3) On the logo side, emphasizing 'mobility', 'scenery', and varied forms of 'exercise' (besides just running) is excellent -- some of the designs are already quite good in this regard

Thanks for all the designs, they're looking great so far. New rankings will be provided shortly.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the great submissions. One more peace of general feedback that may help some (not all) of you.

Crossfit is a highly varied approach to fitness. It includes everything from weights and cardio to things like moving tactor tires and whipping heavy ropes. So, we don't want to overemphasize any one type of exercise in the abstract mark (e.g. running, weightlifting)...

Just thought that might help with some ideas.

Thanks again!

Hello everyone,

Just a bit more feedback now that we're in the top 5 part of the tournament. We've come to a conclusion about colors - we really like the green/blue/dark grey approach that's seen in many of the logos.

Specifically, the blue and green used in #25 & #42 (They may not be the exact same shade, but they seem very close to us) are preferable. Also, the dark gray used in #42 and #27 is preferred over the light gray.

You guys know best though - so if there is an alternate color scheme that you think we should consider just submit a version and we'll definitely take a look.

In the meantime, thanks again. The designs look great!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone. My team voted today and it was very narrow - we were really torn between the top 2 designs, and several of us liked the third and fourth place.

Thanks for all the great designs!
