What We Do
We are a CrossFIt gym (a type of "bare bones" gym) that conducts high intensity interval training in a group training environment, mixing sprinting, gymnastics and weightlifting to achieve fitness and health goals.
Industry
Sport
Color Preferences
Black, White, Dark grey, (burnt) orange.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Main focus of the gym are group classes with a trainer every session - therefore membership fees are slightly higher then average gyms. We want the logo to be appealing to both men and women (no pink!), with clean lines. We are looking for simple, easy to understand logo, not too complicated, and easy to transfer to t-shirts, walls, websites and business cards. We would like the location "South Melbourne" to appear within the logo. It should be clear we are a fitness company, located in South Melbourne. We prefer to not have cartoon letters, the letter X, and not too masculine or feminine. Clear font is to be used with "CrossFit 3000" the main focus. Logos such as CrossFit Tyneside and CrossFit Townsville are generally good guidelines. We don't want any figurine to look fat or way too buff.

Discussion

#1: Hey thanks for your submission!! Nice clean lines and we like the way you used the colours. The figure used seems to give us an endurance running feel, would prefer something a little more muscular (just not to the Mr Universe end of the scale!) to represent a bit more closely what we do. Also, not sure where we would then incorporate "South Melbourne" along with it. We wouldn't want the font to be any more italicised then what has been used. Liking the type of orange you selected.

#4 figure looks good, just lacks a little colour generally in the logo (the coloured version #3 looks a little busy). Generally good layout and font. Thanks to all the designers for entering... please send in some more!!

#6 looks good, looking for a slightly more orange colour instead of so red. Would be good to see some other options also!

Lambourghini Orange colour would be a good way to go.

Thanks everyone for your entries. General comments - having a look at the entries, we prefer not to use dumbbells as your link to fitness, 3000 to be more prominent then South Melbourne and preferably as per CrossFit itself (generally been handled ok). Use of colours looking good.

#21 and #20 - thanks for your designs... having 2 people on the logo looks a little busy.

#17 and #18 and #19 - the font is a little too italicised and the business name looks slightly cramped. I do like the general neatness of this logo. I am a little concerned we may get mistaken for a running club though. Thanks for you efforts!

#31 and #32 - nice use of colours, and a funky font. Just a little concerned that a guy flexing his muscles will put off the females (and potentially some males!!). Thanks for your entries.

#33 - Nice look to it, but I'm unsure what the bits of the "T' represent! Thankyou.

#29 - just a little plain for what we are going for. Appreciate your entry.

In general, getting a few designs with 'X's... this has been a little overdone in the crossfit world already... not ruling it out straight away, but would prefer to shy away from that train of thought if possible. Can anyone do something funky within the CrossFit 3000 itself? Haven't seen much of that option yet.
