Costume Network, IncLogo Design Contest

CostumeNetwork.com is a portal/marketplace focusing on costumes, masquerade events & theatrical special effects education.

Wine red or purple, yellow and black is an idea but open to other inspiration but want something that will work in grayscale when needed. No pink.

We need a hipper version of the attached "imp" jack-in-the-box logo (developed in 1999) that is more of a logo than an animation and will shrink better, look good on letterhead and can be a fashion brand for t-shirts, hats and on clothing labels. Also attached is the logo from our costume arts collective - "Kostume Kult" and we want hip/cool more along those lines that less child-like. The Costume Network "mascot" character will still be the jack-in-the-box "Imp" and the new jack-in-the-box logo character can be in the box or, an alternative idea, "out of the box" with just him on a spring with no box...
