Hi Luis,

Please ignore my request about 319.

I have been working hard to decide on my favourites. My favourites of yours are 350, then 338.

Best wishes,
Resli

Hello Luis,

338 and 350 look slightly harsh, maybe because the "ostabell" is all capitals. Could "ostabell" please be lowercase? If not, could it be in smaller capitals?

Thank you,
Resli

365: I like the font, but it is probably too heavy.

I will print the others and look at them some more.

Good work, Luis!

Hi Luis,

Just some feedback:

My favourites are 350 and 366.

I will ask for feedback on 360 (is it boring?), 359 (is it too stern?) and 363 (is it too graceless?)

I have decided against 336 and 338 because they look too "hard", and against 364 because the proportions didn't look quite right.

Thank you,
Resli

Hello Luis,

350: I asked my printer whether the graduated colours will affect printing prices a lot. He said to ask you: "is the teal a spot colour graduated or is it in cmyk?"

Thank you,

Hello Luis,

I love 350, but people are telling me it looks like a printing error! So I will just consider 366 and 359 of yours.

366 and 359: I had feedback that especially when printed, it is hard to see that the "((" and the "))" actually are connected. That is: the lines across the top of the "(( ))", and the lines across the bottom of the "(( ))", need to be a little thicker. Could you please make the connection lines thicker?

I also am interested in seeing "Costabell" aligned with the bottom of the "(( ))". To say it another way: so instead of Costabell being centred on the "(( ))", the bottom of Costabell and the bottom of "(( ))" are along the same invisible line. Kind of like this alignment: "_Costabell" instead of this alignment: "-Costabell".

If any of this does not make sense, please tell me! I will ask my stepmother to translate into Espanol.

Thank you,
Resli

Hello. Resli.
I think I understand what I said.
Summarize you a bit.

The files that we go up to the competition, are just to give an idea.
First are files for viewing on screen to a very low resolution (on the other hand the maximum which gives a normal display) of 72 dpi, not printable and much less for printing.
Secondly, in order to avoid plagiarism, in LT dan output graphics files even more low in jpg format. The purpose is to avoid that someone can copy designs if the quality is her optima.
This also makes sense. A logo must work in black and white plus color with what the importance of this is minor.(although there are special cases and color is essential)

300ppp resolutions or higher are used for printing and/or printing (nothing to do with the screen) and instead of output in RGB (red, green, blue) are output CMYK (cyan, magenta,...) either fixed Pantone colors. (is exactly the same as a pantone has its equivalent in CMYK)

When you designate a winner, the file that is uploaded is a jpj of superior quality for testing and a vector (EPS) file

The EPS file, is the "good". This not is an image bitmap (jpg) but a file that can put to any size without losing quality. This is where used for printing.

In the printing press. There are two types of printing. The traditional and digital. The first, often give something of more quality (or not) normally inaprecible in a logo (maybe if in photography) and
used before a circulation a cliche or photolith. The second printed directly without photolith, something like a normal printer, but with a lot more quality. (an imprint of such round of about 25,000 € at much more)

When you go to the printing press, the best thing you can do if you have doubts, is request a proof of printing. So sabra really can be your cards for example.
If the color is not exactly who wishes to may with a catalog of colors pantone paper, change it.
As I already said, the colors in normal monitor may vary or it desvirtuase completely unless it is a professional monitor (800 €). I for example work with dual screen, A NEC and a SAMSUNG professional both calibrated. (the nec costs about 1200 €)

I hope I explained well.

Best regards,
Luis

.............
Hola. Resli.

Espero haberme explicado bien.

Luis

With regard to the printing press.
Normally (if it is a traditional printing press, more even) to more colors but face the impression.
There is in this case only two colors, two inks.
All the colors in the EPS file go to CMYK. They are two Pantone colors.
The gradient is a blue pantone to pure black. No more colors
As you said before. best thing is to request a proof of printing. And if necessary correct the colors if they are not to their liking with a catalog on paper Pantone.

However, when you choose winner, although the contest only can upload a winning design, by mail program can send you the variation without gradient. This is provided for in the contract of LT.

So can request a proof of printing, compare the results and choose.
With the files on screen, even in a good printer, the results will be terrible, as he already comment.
I use a Xerox and if I would like to take a test validates, what I would do serious i, mprimir directly from Adobe Illustrator (the design program)

I hope have helped him.
Best regards
..........

Espero haberle ayudado.

Hello Luis,

Thank you for your very good explanations! I think I understood most of it.

Thank you also for correcting the bug in 359. I did not see it before!

At the very tops of 369, the "((" do not quite touch the "))". Instead, there is a little white space. What I would like is just the very tops of the (( )) to be thicker, so that they touch. With no white space. But I do not want the rest of the "(( ))" to be thicker (like in 370) because it looks too heavy (it loses the grace of your original design). Is that possible?

thank you,
Resli

373: yes, that! Please don't spend too much time on it, if you think it will be worse instead of better.

Also: can the blue colour have a tiny bit more yellow in it, so it is just very slightly greener?

Thank you,
Resli

I think that it is worse. I have sent an example and you lose the "grace".
To join in a single point is the "chic" of the design and which gives his appearance.
I have no problem, you send others with a blue more greenish.
Best regards,
Luis
