CorkizonLogo Design Contest

Thx for the first entry romaintarrusson. I'm gonna wait for a couple more entries to start the feedback to have a base to work off of with the ideas presented, although with the first design It seems to have a little more flare than I had envisioned. I like the idea of using the world as imagery for corkizon. Also for colors I like the use of blues and greens. I will start ranking the logos soon later in the day and give more feedback. Would like to see a couple more =)

I just uploaded an image to the contest brief called earth-light.png I was hoping I might get some ideas off this image. I like how it shows the earth with the multi colored countires and the points of light rays coming off of it. If I can get some examples using this as a concept of a more detailed logo with vibrant colors for the graphic and a simple corkizon wording with a nice font, also not a thin font but a medium to thicker font, i.e. the font in #4 and 14 are a little broader than #11 and #5, I'm not a fan of the thinner font. I want to steer away from the literal of corkizon with a cork or a bottle. The image uploaded shows the world and the light points are the talent stars popping up all over the world. On the website I figure a simple corkizon word could be used in the header but for print media and the white header below the top blue I could stick a more vibrant logo with graphic.

Hey guys, the logos are nice but none have hit it on the mark yet...I'm looking for a graphic with a logo. I like the font used in #16 although the word should be split into Cork and Izon, Izon being a short for horizon. I'm looking for more of a print logo that should be very colorful for the earth graphic concept, It can either be detailed form like the graphic example I uploaded or an abstract earth concept with the color ranges red/green/blue for the countries/continents combined with a simple corkizon word with tagline. I like the feel of #16 and #17's font although unsure what the 3 lines and the raised "O" of corkizon represents. I kept #20 in the rankings since it's the only entry with the use of an earth with the points of light for the concept graphic I uploaded to the contest brief. The site is about talent and creativity. The logo will be placed in the top white header area of the site where their is currently some plain text. I'm looking for a logo that is vibrant colorful and stands out on the page. The header on the site is white so the graphic should stand out in white I also like how colors stand out on a black background for print material so it should also stand out on a black background similar to #16 and #17.

I like where #22 and #23 is headed. Although I'm not sure about the color useage, it looks a tad purple and green instead of blues and green. Also the abstract earth graphic is nice it could be better though =)

Not seeing many entries, I extended the contest out another week. Not sure what I can do to make it easier for your guys submission =)

#53 I like where 53 is going with the colorful logo on top and the simple corkizon word underneath. I would rather like to see the logo come out nicely on a white background instead of black. Also the earth graphic seems a tad to busy. One idea I had based off #42 is if we had an earth graphic like #53, take out the white dots all over it since it's kind of distracting. Use an earth with colored continents like the red, blue, greens, yellow, or make an abstract looking earth more towards the google chrome logo. Than stick a small door in the middle of it? just an idea. Opening the door to a world of talent or something like that. Also stick the tagline under to corkizon word in the logo "Connecting the world through talent"
I'm not a fan of the font used in #53 either. White background, use a different font, clean up the earth graphic maybe give it a reflection shadow above the word and add the tagline. Try some variations on that =)

Are the designers free to use your suggestion of a colored earth with a door in the middle? Also please leave some feedback if you have the time on designers where you liked the execution but you have a different idea of...

Hey there, of course all are free to use the idea of the colored earth with a door in the middle =) I wasn't sure if the comments I gave to one designer were visible to all or not. It's a free for all =) hopefully many ideas will come of it.

Ok thanks for the info, I opt for a sideways door instead to avoid complications with other designers entry. Outside here is a General Comments area.

Inside the Designers Area there is also a comment area where you and the designer can comment in... This is also public but they need to get inside the designer's comments area to read... This is where you leave a comment/instructions specific to that particular designer...

Here is what I would really like to see. Take the earth similar to #57 with the small shadow underneath it giving it the appearance of floating. A doorway without a door and can experiment with or without a shadow for the frame ( the shadown on #57 is nice although it doesn't fit over the corkizon word, yet might look ok on the left of the word but also might make it look too busy). The frame of the door could be wood color to appear like a nice wooden door frame or a darker color like black with a gradient. The white space inside the door around the earth should be a sun colored yellow radiance OR a dark blackish color like it's floating in space with a sun peaking out the top of it. The font for corkizon similar to #62 or #59 with the colors blue for "cork" and green for "izon" similar to #62 . Can attempt putting a cork on top of the "i" of corkizon instead of a dot. The earth should be a little simpler in appearance and the colors should pop out. In #57 the colors for the countries might be a little too many and dulled by the white reflection on the top of it. The Colors for #62 are vibrant but I think the meridian lines around the earth make it seem a little too busy. We can leave off the tagline to simplify the logo even more, due to it being easy to add the tagline to material later on. Lastly the door/earth icon should be to the left of the word corkizon like #58, and #65

Everyone submitting logo ideas in the next couple hours, I'm gonna be away from the computer but should be back to comment and rank logos, in an hour or 2 which is kinda cutting it short. Everyone is doing a fantastic job with submissions! I will be going over the entries later tonight with my colleagues to go through picking the logos we like the best.

I just did a temp ranking so that the newer entries are at the top of the list. Hey awesome for adding in a last minute new colorful design with the earth =) liken it. Although any other ideas you can throw at it hehe the 4 color bands under the earth kinda look like a rainbow not sure how that would go for Corkizon. The artnivora guy has an interesting idea with the bands circling around the globe. Not sure if you can expand on that concept or atleast use the idea of the connecting around the planet. If not my friend does like colorful red,blue,green, yellow logos that have been coming out. It's kinda like the windows flag or the google chrome icon etc...Just an idea...btw the last door ideas you submitted are looking awesome! think you got the door concept really nice
